For more than two years, Dani has suffered from the abuse of her ex-boyfriend. After escaping her abusive home, Tyler is set on keeping his promise, ending her life. What he doesn't know, ending hers, isn't just ending one.

8. 8

The next morning I woke up to the sound of someone knocking on my door. "Hold on!" I ran to the door and opened it, "Tyler? What are you doing back?" He pushed me out of the way and sat on the couch.

"Look, we've been through a lot, and now you're carrying my baby. I want to move in with you."

"Do you not remember our conversation from yesterday? I don't want you here, or with me Tyler." He rolled his eyes and sighed.

"I need to be here for you."

"I don't know if I can trust you." What was I saying? I knew that I couldn't trust him.

"Please, give me a chance." He kissed me on the check. Chills went down my spine.

"One condition, you can't stay here every day. Only two or three nights a week."

"Anything to be next to you and my baby." My face got red and my heart started pounding.

"Yeah. Okay." I closed the door to my room, and heard him leave. I couldn't believe myself, falling for the same guy who put me through hell.

I walked down the hall to see Tyler sitting on the couch smoking, "C'mere." He said puffing on the cigarette. I sat next to him, not saying a word. I was sure he was going to burn me, but to my surprise he smashed the cigarette into the ash tray. "You've had enough for today. Get out." I ran down the hall and back into my room.

I woke up to Tyler gently shaking me. This was the first time he's ever been gentle. "What are you doing here?" I said rubbing my eyes.

"I decided I wanted to stay here. Tonight." He smiled.
