I sat around the table filled with old friends from high school, "It's been so long since we've seen you!" Jenny smiled sipping her wine.

"We never heard from you after you moved in with Ty." Lead added.

"We just didn't work out, things happen."  I smiled.

"Cheers to this beautiful bride to be and a fresh start!" Rachael smiled holding her wine. The other girls raised their glasses and said 'cheers'.

Megan looked at me, "I'm sorry to ask, but what did happen with you guys'?" I knew face had gotten beat red, I was uncomfortable sitting around a table with six girls, who I hadn't seen for seven years, sharing my tragic story with Tyler.

"Tyler was just needy. He wanted things I couldn't give him." I replied simply with a smile.

"Danielle, come on! We haven't seen you for seven years!" Jenny smiled looking down at me.

"He abused me." I said setting down my glass of water. They all looked at each, then me, then around the room in disbelief.

"I'm sorry for asking." Megan said hugging me.

             "It's fine." I smiled.

"I can't imagine what you went through. I'm so sorry!" Leah added.

"I'm just happy to be where I am today. The perfect fiancé, a kid, and one on the way. Everything is perfect." I smiled. We talked for a little longer and got caught up.

"It was nice seeing you! I have to go, my husband can't handle the kids for a couple hours." Rachael smiled giving me a hug, "We'll have to keep in touch!" Rachael grabbed her purse and left. Not long after, I decided it was time I should go.

"Well, it was great catching up with all of you, but I think I should get home." I smiled giving everyone a hug.

             "Keep in touch!" Jenny smiled.

"How was dinner?" Jake asked when I walked in.

"It was nice to catch up with everyone." I smiled hanging up my jacket. I stopped when I saw Delilah's jacket. "Delilah stopped by?" I asked smiling.

         "What?"

         "Delilah stopped by?" I repeated.

         "No." He was lying.

"Why's her coat here then?" I smiled throwing the coat at him. His face got red, I walked into the bedroom and slammed the door. He came in. "I should've known you and Delilah were sneaking around behind my back." I smiled.

"It's not what you think Dani."

         "Then what is it?"

"She came over to see you, but you weren't here. I told her she didn't have to leave right away."

         "And nothing happened?"

         "No, Dani, I promise."

"Jake, just tell me the truth."

"She came onto me," He paused, but I didn't let him finish.

"She came onto you, but you didn't care to stop her? You had sex with my sister, while her niece was in the other room?" I rolled my eyes, "You can take this back." I said handing him the engagement ring.

"Dani, don't be like this." He said grabbing my arm.

          "Don't touch me!" I shouted.

          "Dani, please."

"I can't even look at you!" I walked past him and went into the living room.

"I screwed up Dani!" He screamed running his hands through his hair.

"No, I screwed up when I let you into my life."
