For more than two years, Dani has suffered from the abuse of her ex-boyfriend. After escaping her abusive home, Tyler is set on keeping his promise, ending her life. What he doesn't know, ending hers, isn't just ending one.

16. 16

"Dani, wake up! I have work, and you're going to be late for school." My mom shouted opening my bedroom door.

"I'm getting a ride." I shouted back pulling the comforter over my head.

"Okay, then I'm taking Delilah. Bye sweetie." She kissed my forehead. I got up put on skinny jeans, a sweater, and boots. Then went into the bathroom the curl my hair. After I finished getting ready, I grabbed a granola bar and waited for my ride.

Around seven thirty he pulled up, and raced to the door. I opened the door as soon as he stepped on the porch, not even giving him a chance to ring the doorbell.

"Wow." He smiled, "You look good."

          "Thank you." I smiled.

"Like, really good." He smiled back and kissed my forehead. I so badly, wanted to kiss him, but the timing wasn't right. I got into the car, and the ride to school was silent. I grabbed my bag out of the backseat and got out the car. "So, uhm, have a good day." I smiled walking towards the school. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him. He kissed me, like on the lips.

"Now, I'll have a good day." He smiled, "See ya, Dani!" He walked away.

"Bye Jake!" I felt butterflies in my stomach. I was in love.

I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing, "Hello?"

          "Is this Danielle Anderson?"

          "Can I ask who's calling?"

"Jacob Carter, from high school?" As soon as he said his name, I knew exactly who he was. He was my first kiss. "I heard they found you, and I thought it'd be nice to catch up."

          "Oh, yeah! That'd be nice."

          "Okay, tonight around seven?"

"Alright, see you then." I heard a knock at my door, and hung up. I opened the door and Delilah walked inside. "Well, come right on in then." I laughed.

"Please, tell me you're not busy tonight!" She had the biggest smile on her face.

"Actually. Yes, I do." I sighed.

          "What the hell! With who?"

"Jake Carter. Friend from high school." I paused, "Would you mind watching Ellie tonight?" I smiled.

"Well, I guess so, since I have no plans now."

          "Thank you, so much!"

"Yeah, whatever." She grinned, rolling her eyes.

Around six forty-five I drove down to the local coffee shop to meet Jake. I walked inside and sat down at a table. I waited for about fifteen minutes, and he walked in. "Dani?" He walked over to me with a huge smile on his face.

"Hi!" I stood up and gave him a hug.

"You look great!" I was in a sort of shock, when he said that considering my past, but I decided to accept the complement.

"Thank you!" I smiled sitting back down. He ordered two lattes and we talked for awhile.

"So, are you married? Any kids?"

"Actually, I have a daughter, Ellie. She's a year old." I pulled out a picture of her and showed him.

"Wow. She's beautiful, like you." I felt my face get hot, I was blushing. Convenient.

"Thank you." I looked at my watch, 8:30. "You know, I should get home." I stood up, grabbing my jacket.

"Actually, do you want to grab something to eat? I have leftovers at my place."

"I guess so.." I smiled putting on my jacket.

Hours later we were at his house sitting on the couch talking, "I've miss you Dani." I put my head on my shoulder and he ran his fingers through my hair.

"I've missed you too." I smiled, looking up at him.

"I've never really stopped loving you." He kissed me, passionately, and I kissed back. "I've wanted to do that the minute I saw you." I kissed him again.

"Me too." I smiled. I moved on top of him so I was on his lap. My arms were around his neck. I pulled him in for another kiss. He slid his arms around my waist and carried me to his bedroom. He laid me on the bed, and unbuttoned my jeans. I took off my top and his pants. He gently kissed me, I softly moaned as his hands went lower.

I woke up the next morning in Jake's arms, I liked this feeling. I felt like I could wake up in his arms for the rest of life, if it was ever possible. "Morning, beautiful." He kissed the back of my head.  turned so I was facing him.

"Morning." I smiled kissing him. He ran his hands through my hair, then wrapped them around my waist. "I think I'm in love with you." I smiled, and he smiled back.

"I think I'm falling deeply in love with you." He kissed me. I didn't want this moment to end, but my phone was ringing, over and over again. "You should get that." He laughed. I grabbed my phone, I had four missed calls from Delilah.

"I should get going." I got up, wrapping the blanket around me. I grabbed my clothes, quickly got changed and then kissed him goodbye. The drive home felt like an eternity, until I pulled into the driveway. "I have so much to tell you!" I shouted opening the door.

"Oh, do tell!" I stopped when I Tyler responded.

"What are you doing here," I paused, "How did you get in?" I shouted.

"I'll explain after I hear the details of your amazing night." He smiled. I was trying to comprehend the fact that he broke into my house, and Ellie and Delilah were nowhere to be found, but my phone was buzzing. It was Jake.
