*Chapters 1-12 are switching POVs, the rest are Cassidy unless it says differently.*

11. Zayn's POV 6

Cassidy was super excited to see Marley. I guess I finally did something right for once. They went over the typical friend catch-up stuff girls do, then Marley brought up me.

"We're just friends." I said with a wink as I brought my arm around her waist and pulled her in for a hug. The strange thing was, she didn't pull away. This girl was starting to actually like me. They continued going over things like how Marley got over here so fast, how long she was staying, things like that. Cassidy found out I got into her phone.

"What were you doing in my phone?" She asked, trying to look angry. A smile creeped across her lips.

"You're cute when you're mad." I just had to say that. It's true, she was very attractive when she played hard to get and put on this bad girl act. I'm into bad girls, but Cassidy's something special. She pushed me onto the couch jokingly and I pulled her down with me. I liked it when we played together. I've never had so much fun with a girl in my life!

She started talking again. I don't know what made me do it, but the next thing I knew my hand was on her head. Stroking her hair. "Would you mind not petting me?" She replied snarkily.

"Nope, you're hair is so soft. But, my arm's getting tired." I said as I dropped my arm onto her stomach. I don't know what it is about her, but I can't keep my hands off her. She laughed, and Marley was still standing there, silent. Thelook in her eyes told me she was getting mad.

"I guess I'll be going then."  Cassidy jumped up from the couch and protested that Marley stay. I like Marley and all, but I kinda wanted some alone time with Cassidy. She seemed to be starting to like me, and I wanted to talk with her and know how she really feels about me. I stayed on the couch and watched helplessly as Cassidy tried to get Marley to stay.

"What's gotten into you?" Cassidy asked scared.

"You have." Marley said as she left. This was my chance.

"Everything alright, Cass?"  I said, all my attention on her. She threw her head in her hands and ran upstairs. I followede her and found her on the foot of my bed, sobbing into her hands. I came in and sat down next to her. I could tell she was thinking of something because her head was shaking. I pulled her close and rubbed her back. She leaned on my shoulder and replied.

"Thanks." She said in between tears. She looked me in the eyes.

"No problem, anything for you." I said quietly. After an awkward silence, I tried to break the tension. "What happened?"

I don't know." She sniffled.

"I feel like it's all my fault." I said shaking my head.

She looked up at me. "Don't think that." She said with a half smile. "You didn't mean anything. You just wanted to make me happy." I smiled and moved the hair from her eyes. She smiled and I leaned in slowly. Our lips collided and she moved closer. Her hands went onto my sides and up to my shoulders. I placed my hands on her waist and pulled her in so she was against my chest. She backed up and got a gasp of air. We both fell back with our hands around each other's waists. We fell asleep next to each other, and I finally got my good night kiss.
