22. Chapter 22

He took my hand and led me out to the car. I was too tired and angry to force him away from me. I yawned again as we got into his car.

"Where are we going again?" I asked.

"I told you already." He said, as if I were stupid.

"No, you didn't?" I asked confused.

"Oh. Well then I guess you'll have to find out for yourself then." He smirked.

"Please tell me?" I whined.

"No." He said bluntly.

"Whatever." I complained. He started up the car  as he popped another pill. I had that same sinking feeling again. We were there in no time. Mike stopped in the parking lot of the Oasis, a popular club. "What are we doing here?" I asked worried.

"Gonna get our drink on." He said coldly. "What do you think?" I looked him in the eyes dreadfully. His eyes were starting to become foggy and red.

"It's just the pills talking, Mike." I said bluntly, tightening my seat belt.

He grabbed my neck and pulled out a cigarette lighter. He flicked the button for the flame and held the light with one hand and put it by my neck. I felt the hot heat extremely close to me. "You will do as I say." He said strongly and into my ear. "You will go to this club and do what I tell you too. Understood?" He commanded more than asked.

I gulped. "Yes." I gave in yet again.

"Good." He said, letting go of me and pulling out a cigarette. I swallowed hard and licked my lips at the sight of the cigarette. "Want one?" He asked, holding the cigarette in his mouth. I nodded as he handed me one along with the lighter. I lit it up and we both stepped out of the car. He started walking towards the line of people waiting to get in. "You coming?" He asked, not really caring. He would have kept walking any way.

"Yeah, let me finish first." I said taking another puff. He shrugged and wobbled off skipping everyone in line and talking to the security guard. They talked for a few minutes and then the guard let him in. I took another puff of smoke and dropped the cigarette. I stomped on it to burn it out. I looked over at the long line of people, then down at my feet.

What am I doing here? Why did I let him do this to me? The keys are right there on the ground, he dropped them. I could just pick them up and make a run for it. But then he'll hurt me. Oh, then there's Zayn! I still have his number.

I pulled out my phone and found Zayn in my contact list. I was nervous to call him. What if he was still mad at me? I hit call.

He answered quickly. "Hello? Cass is that you?" He asked worriedly. "Where are you?" He said loudly.

"Calm down." I said, trying to act calm. "I'm at Oasis." I whispered.

"Oasis?!" He shouted at me. "What the hell are you doing there?" He raised his voice.

"I'm sorry!" I shouted. "It's Mike."

The line went silent. "Mike?" He asked quietly. "Why are you with him?" He asked angrily. "And why is he out of jail?" He got protective.

"I honestly have no idea, Zayn." I was starting to cry. "I have no freaking idea why he's out of jail, and I don't even know why I went with him, but please, just please help me."

"Okay, Cassidy. I'll be there as soon as I can. Now would be the time a car would come in handy." He tried joking but I could tell he was starting to cry. "I'll see you soon, beautiful." I smiled as he hung up. He did still care about me.
