1. Cassidy's POV 1

New school, new town, new life. I've been waiting for this moment since the time I was born. Not everyone experiences what I went through, but I'm not the one so I shouldn't be complaining. Making the move from Georgia to Britain was a crazy experience, and me and my brother hope it's for the better. Since mom and dad died in that train crash heading to LA to look at houses, life's been hard. It's only me and my brother, Ian. Grandma and grandpa have both been dead for about 6 years now, so we had no one to go with. Ian is 2 years older than me, he's 19. Since he's a registered citizen now, he made the huge decision to move across the Atlantic and just start over. Me finishing up my last year of high school, I would have the whole summer to just relax and meet new people.

The people here are just finishing up the school year. I've been in the library a lot since I love to read. The libraries here have a huge selection. I knew it was the end of the school day because a couple teenagers came into the library looking for their summer report books. Some seniors looked at me and checked me out up and down. They smiled and wouldn't stop staring. I ignored them and sat at a table and started to read the first chapter of a book I found. One guy with slick black hair and a bad-boy appearance came and sat across from me. He looked at me and smiled.

"I'm Zayn." He said kindly, and stretched his hand out for me to shake it. His accent was strong and attractive. I looked up from my book and replied.

"I'm Cassidy." I didn't shake his hand. He seemed like someone not to mess with. "Do you need something?"

"No, just being friendly." He answered and laughed while he pulled his arm back in. "So, Cassidy, are you new here?"

"Yeah. I just moved here about a week ago." I said looking back at my book. I could tell he was still staring at me.

"You're very pretty. Do you know that? Ii like your accent, too." He said cutely with a sexy smile. I looked up as my cheeks turned red.

"Umm.. thanks." I said and smiled. I've never been told I was pretty before. And my accent? What was so nice about it? He pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled something down.

"If you ever need a tour guide, just give me a call." He said coolly with a smile. "You've got a nice smile by the way." He handed me the piece of paper and kissed my hand as he walked away.

Things were finally looking better for me.
