I feel safe in your arms (on hold)

Abby has always been a good-girl getting straight A's and is super sweet and popular. She always enjoys a good party or night out, but she never drinks a single drop of alcohol because she says 'she likes to remember things when she has a good time.'
She is dragged along to Colton Chrisfield's party by her best friend. She never guessed that one glass of beer and a game of truth or dare would change that all.

11. A magical first date

I looked out the door to see Colton standing there wearing a white shirt, a blazer and black trouser holding a bouquet of blood red roses, my favorite flower in the whole world. He looked at me like he was a blind man seeing the light for the first time in forty years. A wide grin was plastered on his face as he took in what I was wearing. "My lady" Colton said in a fancy was while handing me the roses.

I took them with a smile on my face. They smelt amazing. "Oh, Colton... I love them" I whispered while putting them in a vase of water that Izzie handed me. "Thank you"

He extended his hand to me and I gladly took it. "I would walk through the desert, I would walk down the aisle, I would swim all the oceans just to see you smile, what ever it takes is fine"

I let out a little, soft laugh. "My favorite lyric, from my favorite song, sung from my favorite guy" I whispered placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Aw you guy's are so cute!" Izzie gush, tears appearing in her eyes. "You better go before you're late and I start crying!" I sates shooing us out the door.

I looked up at Colton a gentle smile present on both our faces. "Are you ready for the best date of your life?" Colton asked as he lead me out the building.

I quickly checked the time on my phone. Oh god it was already three o'clock! I must have got up really late. "I can't wait another second" I chirp as Colton wrapped his arms around my waist. His warmth ran through my body followed by the wave of sparks that come with his touch, that I had got so used to.

It wasn't really nice out today so I was relived when Colton took me to a movie. We watched a really romantic love film and I kept feeling Colton's warm lips on my forehead when it came to a really sappy part. As I exited the theater I was surprised to see that the sky was already becoming dark and stars were making themselves know by shining brightly above our heads.

"It's so nice out" I whisper while Colton intertwined our fingers together.

"I'm glad you think that because our ride is here" He whispered in my ear making me snap my head down to the street next to us just in time to see a horse drawn carriage pull up to the curb.

"Oh Colton you didn't need to do all this" I said a smile lighting up my face at how sweet he was being to me.

He lead me towards the carriage our hands locked together between us. "Come on I've got a surprise for you" He states as he helps me up inside.

I could see the stars miles away as we cuddled up in the back seat. Colton's warm breath caressing my check every time he let out a breath. The heavy beat of his heart pounding in my ear as I pressed my head against he chest. This night was truly perfect so far.

"We're here!" He declared picking me up bridle style and carrying me through a pair of thick iron gates. I couldn't really see anything but a small glowing that was coming from a bit away. As we edged closer I could slowly make out what it was.

Before me was a band stand with an open roof that was covered in twinkling fairy-lights, in the middle was a table that looked like it belonged to a five-star restaurant. I couldn't help but tear up at the sight in front of me, but they were happy tears.

"Your dinner awaits" Colton said once again in a funny posh accent. He pulled out one of the seats for me and took the other smiling at me like he just won the lottery.

"Colton this is all so beautiful" I laugh as we start to eat our meals.

He lent across the table and put my hand in his. "I just wanted to make our first date your best" He states before kissing my hand before letting it go.

"Thank you" I whisper before we start a conversation where we were talking about anything and everything. There was never an awkward silence between us and we were nearly always laughing at something. It just felt unreal, but I loved it.

By the time I finally got home I think it was safe to say we were both shattered. It was amazing and I don't think I'd ever be able to forget it but I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching us at the band-stand. I don't know why but it was like I could feel someone's gaze on my back. I don't know maybe I'm just being paranoid.
