A story of how four friends spend their summer apart.

7. Esmeralda.

Esmeralda arrived at the summer school for musical theatre (named the Arts of London, AOL for short) and thought that maybe this isn't such a good idea. She turned around to tell her dad to take her home, but he'd already driven away. Damn it! She turned back around and faced the summer school. She had expected a camp sort of place, like where Erin was going.... what was it called... Camp S? Esmeralda would have felt so much more comfortable there.

But before her stood a freaking campus! This was a summer shcool and it had a campus?! What had she gotten herself into?. Before her was a big house, like a mini hotel, all fancy red brick and oak double doors. To the right of that, was... imagine a camp cabin. Now imagine it made of red brick and times the size by one hundered, there you go. To the left of the mini hotel building, there was a spherical building. Yes. It was spherical. It was the size of Esmeralda's house but a complete sphere, made out of wood. It wouldn't surprise Esmeralda if it was oak! Then dotted around the whole place were more 'cabins' like the other one.

Wandering around, she couldn't help but stare in awe. All of these posh 'cabins' that she'd be working in, that spherical room, the mini hotel, it was all too much for her. Even the people seemed intimidating to her. They all wore posh clothes and had blonde, brown or black hair and were tanned and spoke and walked confidently.

Esmeralda had died red hair, pale skin (cosmetic, unfortunately she was actually tanned when she wanted to be pale) and had a shy disposition about her at first, but hopefully when these people got to know her, she'd open up a bit.

Her thoughts were interupted when she looked up and realised she'd reached the end of the campus. But that wasn't it. Right infront of her was a theatre. It seemed like a mini version of a real one, like the Royal Albert Hall or something. She had to look inside. Just one peek.

Walking in, she almost held her breath. She could get into trouble for this, though she doubted it. It was beautiful. Her footsteps echoed, portraying the perfect acoustics, the stage was beautiful and the red velvet curtains were soft to her touch. She could see a spot where an orchestra would play, she could immediatley point out every stage position she needed to know and could just see the audience clapping and applauding in their seats. She looked at the stage and could see herself on there, singing, acting, being herself.

"Hello?" a voice said behind her.

She whipped around. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'll go-"

The boy laughed. He had a deep London accent and big brown eyes. "No, no, it's fine. It's just my dad's looking for you."

Esmeralda frowned. "Your dad?"

"Yeah, he runs AOL, he needs to see you. You are the new girl right?"

"Esmeralda." she confirmed, nodding.

He held out a hand. "Lorcrian." he smiled.

They shook hands and wandered out of the theatre together.
