Why not us?

A story of how four friends spend their summer apart.

34. Erin.

"I think we did well, best ones there." Ethan beamed confidently as he and Erin walked to there next class.

"There was only four pairs Ethan." Erin laughed, the teacher, Luke, was right when he said it was a small group.

"Yeah well we were the best there." He laughed. They were crossing the area where the campfire was held when a shrill voice sounded.

"Ethan!" Ethan turned around and smiled when he saw a girl walking towards them with long ginger hair and bright green eyes.

"Lila! I was wondering where you were." He smiled as he pulled her into a kiss leaving Erin quite shocked. "This is Erin, it's her first year here." Ethan said as he moved aside so Lila could see Erin. Lila's clear eyes moved up and down Erin in a smooth motion once she'd finished she held her hand out confidently.

"A noob, how sweet." She said in an obviously sarcastic tone that Ethan seemed oblivious to. Erin shook her hand and Lila's grip was a little too violent.

"We've got to go, we have scrpit interpritation. I'll see you at lunch though?" Ethan asked as he hugged and kissed Lila once more.

"Of course baby. Have a nice lesson." She said in a sickly sweet voice.

"I didn't know you have a girlfriend." Erin said as they sat down in the light and airy classroom.

"Lila? I know she's amazing isn't she?" Ethan said happily. Erin nodded half heatedly. Well that was all her hopes dashed wasn't it, and to think she was actually begining to feel comfortable in Camp S.

"Erin? Are you okay?" Ethan asked.

"Yeah, sorry I was miles away." She smiled as the leader began to talk.
