Fates Game-Elis Story

I recall a time when she remembered me. A time when I was happy. A time when she would smile, laugh and enjoy the feeling of being together. Now she has forgotten me and I have to win her back, or I will disappear forever.

7. Axel-Locked Memories

"Who was that?" Jasper asked in a bored voice as he moved some of his blonde hair out of his red eyes.

"I don't know, why don't you ask him?" I replied in a sarcastic voice.

"Why was he following you?" My friend Tyler asked his voice holding caution.

I shrugged as he fixed his black hair making it fall onto his misty purple eyes."I dunno, he just wanted to talk I think."

"Do you know him?" Jasper asked again his voice sounding even more bored.

"No Jasper. I was not even talking to you." I replied trying to hold any anger and sarcasm out of it.

He laughed holding his pale hands up, "Haha geez Axel has a soft spot."

"Sometimes I wonder why I keep you around!"

I sit down, a cup of hot coco in my hands I look out the window and pretend to study outside. Thought swirl around in my mind, some screaming to be answered others whispering into my brain dying to be heard. I try to think back, have I seen that guy before? But all of my memories are hazy, its like a lock was on my brain, keeping the memories I would rather forget locked away....or maybe the memories I would rather remember.

"Hey Eli." Summer said walking in his face glowing. "Will you take me to get some ice cream, the kitchen is locked...."

"Oh, hey Summer. Sorry not right now I am sorta busy." I replied stacking some papers together.

"You have been busy all day Eli. You don't have to clean just because Axel doesn't remember us, silly. You don't have to clean because you are sad Eli. All you have to do is eat some ice cream!" He smiled rubbing his tummy, "Yum!"

"No thanks Summer, I don't want any ice cream."

"But I dooooo!" He stomped his foot in frustration.

"Go ask Fall to get you some okay."

"Fine," He huffed stomping out of the room.

I looked up and out of the window, the suns light warmed my face. I closed my eyes thinking back to the time where I was happy. A time with her...

It was Summers end when we first met. It was a rather cold Summer afternoon, it made me think something was wrong. I knew deep down something was, but my mind refused the possibility of anything happening to Summer. With the feeling of unease I went out on a walk, like I usually do. Leaves fell off the trees hitting the ground in a rhythmic pattern. The sun gleamed through the few leaves left on the trees. Fall must be soon, I concluded looking father down the path. Te sound of laughter filled the forest. It was like the soft sound of a bell during a winters end. The sound was so beautiful it stopped me in my tracks.

A bird flew off in the distance, my eyes following it to the most beautiful sight I have ever seen.

Her smile, my laughter, and just like that the memory had ended. Darn it, I slammed my fist on the table in front of me, why can't I remember? What's Fates plan anyway? The thought of her messing with my mind infuriated me. One thing was for sure she was always a happy person. Her smile was a wonderful sight, it seemed to light the whole room. It was one of those smiles you could never forget.
