Relatable and Not-So-Relatable Rants

Things that personally just get on my nerves and I thought I should share, more the less I needed somewhere to get my anger out before I blow up. Hope you can relate, because right now I feel like I'm the only one who's bugged by these things

17. Grammar Part 1...

Grammar Part 1...

I hate when people don't use the simple rules of grammar. It's really not all that hard.

#1. When your reading something that has no paragraphs, it's just one thing that goes on and on and on.

EX) He exited the room with a smile. "Well that was easy." I said, looking at Andrea. "Yeah it was. Want to get some lunch?" "Sure!" We walked to Jib Jab and got some hots dogs and later went home to watch movies all night. It was stormy out and I was really scared.

What it should be: He exited the room with a smile. "Well, that was easy." I said, looking at Andrea.

"Yeah, it was. Want to get some lunch?"

We walked to the hot dog shoppe down the street and ate lunch. It wasn't very crowded today, maybe because it was storming outside. I get a little anxious during storms.

Later, we went to my place and watched some movies all night, trying to distract myself from the weather outside.

Not the best example but you get the point. When a new character speaks or your talking about a new subject, add a nice line! Jumbling it up makes to too hard to read! That's why, if you jumble yours up I refuse to read your story and I am not the only one! Just warning you...

#2. Punctuation. Oh my lord. This is a biggie. Okay, first off-put a space after a finish. Or else it looks like so:

I laughed, looking down trying to hide my blush. He was so sweet,I really think I like him.

Horrible. Just horrible. Doesn't this look much, much better?

I laughed, looking down trying to hide my blush. He was so sweet, I really think I like him.

It may be a little hard to tell now but when it's in paragraphs it's crazy.

Apostrophes. Please use them. Dont is not a word. Don't, is. Isnt is not a word. Isn't is. Do you see a pattern?

#3. Past tense. Do I really need to say this? People actually think putted is the past tense of put. Put is put. It stays put!

I know there's more but I'm like exhausted SO leave in the comments what grammar problems make you tick, or stay a silent reader and make me want to rip your throat out. Your decision . . .
