Relatable and Not-So-Relatable Rants

Things that personally just get on my nerves and I thought I should share, more the less I needed somewhere to get my anger out before I blow up. Hope you can relate, because right now I feel like I'm the only one who's bugged by these things

38. Depression, Anxiety, etc.

Listen up! This is important!

Okay, so we've all heard of these. Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, etc.

Well, here's a message.

Abuse: You can't know what someone is going through at home. Never, ever make fun of someone for something that isn't their fault. If their parents are cruel, don't use it against them. Help them, instead. It isn't their fault. They did nothing wrong whatsoever.

Post traumatic stress disorder: If someone has nightmares and flashbacks about their past, it's okay. It doesn't mean that you are weak or that they're a freak, not at all, it just means that their brain is having trouble coping with what happened and is trying to find a way to. If someone you know has this problem, talking is the best way to make it fade away. It takes time.

Rape: It was not their fault. They never asked for it. It wasn't because of what they were wearing or how much they drank...if they never said yes its not consensual. If somebody raped someone, they had no right to take advantage of them! It had nothing to do with how they dress. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW THEY DRESSED!

Anxiety: Its okay to be not okay. Being anxious doesn't make them weak. Stress can come from any event or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or nervous. Anxiety is a feeling of fear, unease, and worry. The source of these symptoms isn't always known. Social anxiety is a discomfort or a fear when a person is in social interactions that involve a concern about being judged or evaluated by others... if you're judging someone because of this, you are the reason the have it!

Self Harm: Self harm is the act of deliberately harming your own body, such as cutting or burning yourself . You may not understand why someone would do this, but you don't need to. All you need to know is that they are having a really rough time and most likely need a friend. A real friend.

Eating disorders: No matter what size jeans you wear, you are beautiful. The number on the scale does not determine your worth. Food is fuel for your body, just like cars need gas your body needs food. Food wont make you fat ugly disgusting or anything negative. You are beautiful just the way you are. You are worthwhile. You are important. If you see someone doubting this, tell them they are beautiful everyday. Just because. Just tell them.

Depression:  Severe despondency and dejection, typically felt over a period of time and accompanied by feelings of hopelessness and inadequacy. If someone is feeling depressed, telling them to smile isn't going to cure them. They are depressed for a reason, and maybe it's just clinical and there's no reason other than unhappiness, but do not tell them they'll be fine. To suck it up. Be there for them. Be a friend. And if you don't like them, don't be mean. Just don't. Then you'll be part of the reason they are so depressed.

Suicidal: NEVER EVER TELL SOMEONE THEY DESERVE TO DIE! THEY MIGHT ALREADY THINK THAT! If someone you know is feeling suicidal, you need to be there. Don't smother them, but don't ever leave their side. They deserve to live. You deserve to live. We all deserve to live! That's why we're here! To live!
