Coincidental Meeting (A Louis Tomlinson Fanfic)

I meet Louis Tomlinson by complete coincidence. I'll let you figure out the rest.
*Note* Not your typical fanfic about a One Direction member.

21. 21. Without The World

I don't know how I got so lucky. I don't know why Louis chose me but I will say I didn't mind. I felt lucky and Louis was helping me through all my insecurities and everything that happened. Louis gave me the courage to take a step back and think through choices before I made them. Even though Louis did not know everything he was one of the few boyfriends that did know the whole story of my father. Well, he knew the backstory. He didn't know everything I had to do to get where I am today.

Louis' phone had been off for two days and I imagined that everyone was wondering where he was at but he refused to cut it on. He also turned my phone off for 'less distractions'.

"At least let everyone know you are okay," I pleaded because I didn't want any of the boys from the band to dislike me because Louis had go AWOL on my account.

"I will turn it on when I know that you are okay."

"I'm doing better. You make me better. You don't need to ignore the rest of the world for me."

He pulled me close and kissed me, "The rest of the world doesn't matter when I am with you Maria." Every kiss got sweeter, longer, harder to pull away. Every kiss made me want Louis more but I knew it was still too soon.

The first night together we fell asleep on the couch and I woke up to Louis making pancakes. He was failing I might add but it was still cute.

"Want some help?"

"I got this babe," he said as he tried to flip the pancake but it was stuck.

"Let me help before you ruin my pan or burn down the apartment."

He kissed me on the neck as I made the rest of the pancakes. As I was finishing up the pancakes he started setting the table and I was amazed at how much he cared. We ate in silence and I got a feeling he was saving his words for a more serious conversation.

After we finished eating he took the plates and washed them.

"I'll get it babe, just sit there and relax."

I sat there and watched him. His arms flexed while he stood there washing the plates. It didn't take long but it was quite enjoyable to watch.

"I think today is a good day for a walk."

"I would love to take a walk but it's suppose to rain."

"We met on a rainy day," he said then smirked.

"Okay, but I don't want to hear you complain about your hair being messed up if it rains later," I joked with him as I started walking to the room to get changed.

After I came out my room I couldn't find Louis. I was confused but then I saw him coming out of the bathroom. "Lucky I had some extra clothes in my car." I laughed and he took my hand, kissing me on the forehead after pulling me close.

Louis wrapped his arm tightly around me and we started out the door. We walked around the block before we even started a conversation.

"So can I ask you something?"

"Do you still cut?" he asked.

I wanted to stop but I knew it would be a bad choice. I thought of the best way to tell him the answer.

"You don't have to answer if you don't want, but I want you to know anytime you feel like you want to do that I want you to call me. I won't let you do it again."
"It's not that simple Louis..." I trailed off and nearly choked on my words because this was one thing in particular I did not want to talk about with Louis. I started to pull away from him and he immediately pulled me back.

"I'm sorry. Please, promise me."

"I can't. I don't know if I'll ever feel like that again but I don't want to think I will. I want to do it every time I talk to my father."

He pulled me closer and let me bury my face in his chest. People passed us and I could feel the awkward stares. Usually they wouldn't bother me but today they just made me angry.

I pulled away from Louis. "I can't Louis. You're amazing but you should be with someone better."

"You can tell me all day that I should be with someone better but I can't think of a single person that is better for me than you." He was being completely serious. "You make me think about things differently. You make me happy. You make me nervous. Hell, you make feel like a real person and not just 1/5 of One Direction. Maria, please understand. I want to be here. I'm staying."

This only made me want to cry but instead I walked back into his embrace. People were staring even more at us now and I swear I heard two girls whispering.

"Who is that weird girl with Louis Tomlinson?"

"Are you sure that's even Louis Tomlinson?"

I just wanted to yell and tell them to shut up but instead Louis whispered into my ear, "Maybe we should go back?" I just nodded and he leaded the way. It was a quicker walk back because Louis was trying to avoid people so we took a shortcut.

The silence was bothering me once we reached my apartment so I decided I needed time to think by myself.

"I'm going to go take a shower."

"Okay babe. Mind if I make sandwiches, promise I won't mess anything up."

I smiled and kissed him before heading to the bathroom. I knew I could take a short shower but I decided to take a long shower to ponder on my thoughts. My shower was roughly thirty minutes once I got out I wrapped myself in a towel. I completly forgot that I needed new clothes so I would have to walk down the hall to my bedroom. There was a small chance that I would see Louis and there was a small part of me that wanted him to see me in a towel; yet there was an even bigger part of me that knew it would be a bad idea.

I peeked my head out and sighed with relief because he was probably in the kitchen making a sandwich. So I quickly walked down the hall to my room. I shut the door behind me and as soon as I turned around there was Louis.

"Oh, sorry," he said looking away but I could tell he was equally embarrassed with me.

"Why are you in my room?"

"I was going to make it special and let you lay down and relax while you and you see um, I didn't know you'd be coming back here so fast and um. I'm sorry."

I just started laughing. I couldn't control myself.

"Um, I don't know what's funny but I'll take laughter."

This only made me laugh harder and I fell down to the ground, completely forgetting I was in a towel. He heard me fall and turned around.

"Ouch." I said through a few more laughs.

"Babe, what's so funny?"
"I don't know, I think it's just. Well, you were trying so hard and I ruined it. Then you got embarrassed when you still are clothed."

Louis just kissed me right then, he was practically straddling overtop of me kissing me hard.

"You're ridiculous, you know that?"

"I guess."

He looked down and I remembered that I was still just in a towel. Louis continued looking down to my body and I knew where he was going to stop. My thighs, the lovely part of my body that took the abuse I gave myself.

Louis ran his fingers over the scars because they were still pretty visible. He looked back up at me, "Maria..." I didn't know how to respond so I just laid there. "I'm sorry." is all he could manage to say. I got up and went into the closet. I wasn't ready for him to see that and I knew everything had just changed.

I asked Louis to sleep in my room and I would sleep on the couch tonight but of course he insisted that he would sleep on the couch after much arguement. So I was waking up without Louis beside me but after the incident yesterday I hadn't said much to Louis. I was avoiding it as much as possible.

I walked out of the room and heard the shower running. Louis must be taking a shower. It was nine in the morning so it was still early enough to make breakfast. I went scrambling through my kitchen only to find pancake mix and orange juice, well this was all that fit the breakfast catergory.

Louis must have thought I was still in bed because he came out with a towel wrapped around his waist into the living room but I could see him. He leaned over the back of the sofa and I could see every muscle outline in his torso and back.

"Goodmorning Louis." I said with a smirk on my face.

He jumped slightly and had to quickly grab his towel because it almost fell.

"Well goodmorning beautiful."

"We really should stop doing this to each other," I said smiling because I loved the way his body looked right now.

"I know we should."

I moved close to him and kissed him, to my surprise he kissed me back. He put his hands on my hips and pulled me close.

"I'm sorry about yesterday," I said through the kisses.

"Me too," he sounded sad, "I'll wait until you are ready to talk about it."

Then I saw his phone on the table.

"Still not going to turn on your phone?"

He sighed and we launched into the mini argument about the phone again.

"Fine. But if any of the boys get mad at me I expect you to tell the truth that I wanted you to turn on the phone."

He just laughed and pulled me back in for more kisses.

Next thing I knew there was a knock on the door. I was confused at who could be at my door then I remembered Louis had cut my phone off so it was either Emily or Brianna, possibly both, at the door wondering where I am.

"It's probably just my friends. So you might want to wait right here."

I walked over to the door opening it and there stood Harry and Liam. Then Louis walked up behind me, still in his towel.

"Oh hey boys."
