Gaia, a sixteen year old girl with big plans as a singer, decides to go downtown in her home town. She's in a restaurant, humming to herself while waiting for her best friend, when suddennly a swarm of girls overtakes her, and she gets locked in a back room with One Direction. They heard her singing earlier, and things get interesting as she falls in love with the boys, and they fall in love with her...

4. Dinner and a Fun Time~

I sat next to Taylor, and she elbowed me grinning so hard that I laughed.

"When were you going to tell me you know these boys?" she said, smiling.

"Oh, I just met them. Formally, at least."

She looked shocked. "Wow. Why do they act like they've known you forever then?"

I shrugged. "Beats me."

Louis smiled from across from me. "We like her, and she's going to be our tour guide."

Taylor looked interested. "Really, now?"

"Taylor... Don't do what I think you're going to-"

"She may not act like it," she said, "but Gaia here loves your music, and she loves to sing along to it."

"Why would you tell them that?" I whispered, smiling.

"Because they think you're cute and I want them to know you sing. Since they're not really my type."

I laughed loudly, and Liam raised his eyebrows at me from across the table. I smiled sheepishly and sat up.

"I'm not that great, so don't ask me to-"

"Sing!" Niall cried, and immediately blushed.

"Louis, don't you think she should? Maybe when we get out of this restaurant?" said Harry, running his hands through his curls.

Louis nodded, and so did Zayn and Liam. Taylor... You've done it now!

Steph came into the room, expecting there to be two tables full, but she looked suprised that we had pulled our tables together.

"Good for you, Gaia," she said trying to not laugh, as she took my order.

Niall, who was sitting next to me, sat up and sniffed. "What's the good smell?"

Steph smiled sweetly. "We just pulled some fresh pizza and some dessert for you all out of our ovens."

Niall got a starry-eyed look, and leaned back in his chair, and his leg bumped mine. He didn't seem to notice, and his leg rested against mine.

Taylor nudged me. "That one's cute," she motioned towards Niall. "He's also got an eye for you. So do the others... especially the curly headed one."

I blushed, and Zayn pointed it out to everyone, and Louis cracked a joke. We sat around laughing, and eating our food.

Finally, when it was time to leave, Taylor linked her arm in mine, and led me out the door with the boys following cautiously.

"At least there aren't any girls now," said Liam quietly.

Harry nodded. "I would hate to be swarmed while we're having such a good time."

I heard a phone buzz, and Liam stopped walking. "Oh man! Guys I gotta run. I'll meet up later alright? Dani wants me to meet her for coffee at some place called The Pot...." he trailed off. "These directions are... awful."

I smiled. "Go down one block and turn right; you can't miss it. It's a big yellow-bricked building with a huge sign."

He nodded, "Thank you so much!" Waving, Liam took off.

"Dani's his girlfriend," explained Harry, who started walking beside me.

"That makes sense," said Taylor with our arms still linked.

The six of us continued walking around downtown, and we went in several shops the boys were interested in. We got to Thrifty's, and I led them confidently inside. Nodding to Tony, I sat down on one of the couches in the middle of the store.

Taylor let go of my arm, and sat down in one of the arm chairs. "Gaia's like... a regular here. She buys all her music here. Oh, and Tony really likes it when you come here."

I winced. Tony's just a friend, and I really, REALLY, did not want to date him. Niall sat down on the couch next to me, while Harry, Louis and Zayn looked at the CD's.

"This is a cool place." After a long pause, he added, "Is that Tony guy your boyfriend?"

I looked at him startled. "No way. Tony's just a friend."

Louis appeared beside me. "He keeps watching you though. He probably likes you. I can't blame him either," he said teasing. I threw a pillow from the couch at him.

Niall grinned mischievously, and I wondered what came over him. Suddenly he brushed my lips softly with his, and I gasped, but still lightly kissed back. My heart was beating, and my stomach was doing backflips. He pulled away, and I stared at him, but his gaze wasn't on me.

Louis grinned. "Definitely likes you, and can't stand Niall now. Here he comes."

Tony came walking over. "Hey Gaia! Weren't you just in here today?" He looked at Niall slowly. "Did you meet some new friends?" I caught it, that tiny, almost unrecognizable jealousy.

"Yeah, these are my new friends, Niall, Louis, Harry, and Zayn. Liam had a date, so he couldn't be here." I smiled casually, and leaned back. Niall was sitting really close on my left, and Harry had wandered over to the couch when I had said his name. He landed on my right, and squished between Louis and I.

Harry put his arm around me and smiled cheekily at Tony. "How's it going man?" He said, smirking.

I flicked his arm, and he grinned and gave me a peck on the cheek, while looking over at Tony.

Tony was furious. "Hey Gaia. Can I talk to you really quick?"

He took my hand and led me over to the counter where the register was. "Yes?" I said innocently.

"Who the heck are those guys? I thought you weren't dating anyone."

"I'm not, they're just messing around. Sorry." I dismissed the idea, and walked back over to sit between Niall and Harry again.

The door burst open, and Nate came rushing in. "Tony! Where's my records I ordered? You said they'd be here by now."

He came to a dead halt when he saw Taylor in the armchair. Coming in through the door to Thrifty's, you could only see the first armchair. Not the couch where I was sitting. I groaned inwardly, and layed my head back against the couch.

"What's wrong, love?" asked Niall.

"That's my friend Nate. He's going to pester you for autographs for his lady friends." I giggled.

"Lady friends?" said Harry, smirking.

I nodded, and Nate walked farther in, and noticed me for the first time. I couldn't read his face as he looked from me, to Niall, to Harry, and to Louis who were on the couch too. Zayn was sitting in the chair across from Taylor, and was watching everything with an amused smile. Suddenly, Nate spoke.

"Gaia! Why didn't you tell me you were hanging out!" He glared at Taylor, who shrugged. "Taylor! What's up with that?"

"I dunno. I just went to CJ's and there she was with these five... Well, now there's only four of them."

Nate grinned. "So what did she pay you for you all to hang with her?"

I threw a magazine at him, which he dodged. "Nate! I didn't-"

Niall cut me off. "We didn't get payed. She's going to show us around while we're in town. Gaia's pretty cool, huh guys?"

They nodded, and my cheeks flushed.

"Can I hang with you guys? Even though I'm technically inviting myself," begged Nate.

"Of course, Mate," said Louis warmly. I grinned, because I was glad my two best friends were here with me. Taylor looked happy just sitting with Zayn, and talking about music. Nate was talking about his soccer game coming up Saturday.

"That's a great idea!" exclaimed Louis, who scared Harry into elbowing me.

"What is?" asked Zayn, as confused as we were.

"Nate says he has a soccer game coming up, and we should all go and see him! Wouldn't it be fun?"

"I think it would be pretty awesome," said Harry. Niall agreed, and so did Zayn and Taylor.

"Please Gaia? It won't be any fun without you," said Niall, so unbearably adorable. I can't resist him and Harry both begging me at the same time, so I sighed and gave in.

"Alright, but you two have to buy me popcorn and a soda," I said, smiling happily.

This day had turned out so differently than I had planned. It was great, and I was having an amazing time. We all walked back to CJ's, and started saying goodbye.

"Hey, Gaia," said Harry. "Where's your car?"

I pointed to my right. "A while down in that parking garage, but it's not too far."

Niall chimed in. "I rode here with Louis and Harry, and we parked over there too! We can walk you to your car if you want."

Harry flicked his shoulder. "I was going to say that, you idiot!"

I laughed as Niall replied. "Not my fault I beat you to it!"

Taylor sighed. "Gaia, can I get a ride with you? I had to ride the bus here because my car's being stupid, and I had to get a mechanic."

"Duh," I said as she linked arms with me again.

Zayn laughed. "I parked in that direction, but my motorcycle's at the bottom. So I'll just wait for you all at the bottom."

Nate had parked the other way, so he decided to go home as well.

"Bye!" he called cheerfully.

I waved as he ran off to his car. The five of us walked towards the garage, and each found our cars.

"Later guys," I said, hugging the four guys.

Louis kissed the top of my head, and so did Zayn. Niall gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, and hugged me goodbye. Harry hugged me tightly, and kissed my forehead. They embarassed me, but I loved hugging all of them. Taylor just smiled at them.

"Goodbye, boys! Thanks for taking care of my girl before I got there!" She called.

When they were out of earshot and we got in the car, she asked me many questions. "How on earth did you get them to like you so fast? I think it's amazing they warmed up to you so quickly."

I shrugged. I have no idea why they were so friendly to me. "I guess they just wanted a friend and I was the first available."

Taylor laughed, and I drove her home. When I had pulled into my driveway, I thought of Niall and Harry. They were so sweet today. Of course, I remembered the boys each kissing me, and my heart started beating. I went inside, and crawled into bed. I slept really well, thanks to the day's excitement.
