My Step Brother

Rene'e is from Mooresville, Indiana. She lives there with her dad in a peaceful little neighborhood called Rooker Trace. Rene'e has the best friends a girl could ask for, the perfect house, the perfect life. Until her dad meets someone from Holmes Chapel in the UK and is forced to move there with her and her two kids.
Rene'e finds herself faced with a very awkward situation.

12. Paris

I turned around to see Edward back. "Edward?" I asked to be sure I was seeing thing correctly. He smiled at me.

Why the hell was he here?

"Hello again." "Uh, hi. What are you doing here? In Holmes Chapel?" I asked. "I wanted to see you again." He looked around the parking lot and then back at me and I looked around the parking lot for Harry. I knew it wouldn't be good if Harry saw Edward here. He was in a black shirt and sunglasses.

"Waiting for someone?" He asked. "Yeah," I said. "Ah, yes, I remember." He smiled. "Very, very protective." I giggled nervously. "Yeah, well, uh it was very nice seeing you again, but we need to get home." As I said that Harry walked up. Perfect. This was what I was trying to avoid.

"Edward??" He was shocked to see him here. "Hi, Harry." Edward greeted him. "What the hell are you doing here? And why?" Edward looked to the ground. I could tell he was thinking. "To invite you guys on a weekend away. In Paris."

"Paris?!" I've never been and I wanted to for like, my whole life. I looked over at Harry, he wasn't thrilled, I could tell.

"The hell? What are you trying to do, STILES?" Harry said walking closer to Edward. "You can't just sing to her in your huge hotel room, then come to our school and think you can whisk her away to Paris." I closed my eyes and face palmed, he was right, Harry was protective of me, but that's just who he is. I'm glad he's protective, he cares. "Harry, calm down." I said softly.

Edward just stood there. "I'm not trying to do anything, man.  I just wanted to invite you guys. I liked you guys."

I opened my eyes back up after a thought came to my mind. "How did you find us?" I asked him. I was really curious.

"I have people." he replied.  Right, I forgot that they had "People" to do that kind of stuff.

"So, what do you guys say?" Edward asked. I looked over at Harry as he gave me a look. "Just a second, Edward." Harry said pulling me to the side. Edward smiled. "Yes, take your time."

Harry pulled me two cars away from Edward, who stood with his sunglasses and his quiff down so no one would recognize him.

"We are not going." Harry said. "Why not?" Harry looked at me like I was stupid or something. "This is the guy who was singing that he'd always love you or something. Whatever that Two Directions song is about."

I rolled my eyes. "He was just being polite, Harry." Harry shook his head. "Oh yeah, I'm sure, Renee." He looked back at Edward. "He's up to something." "You're just paranoid. Nothing happened the first time and nothing will happen this time." I was right, nothing did happen. So he sang a little verse to me, big deal, right?

Harry's head turned back. "Because I didn't let it, Renee." I sighed and cocked my head to the side. I pulled my puppy dog face on him. "Harry, I have never been to Paris. I really want to go. And think about it, you and me, in Paris?" I smiled and secretly grabbed his hand and held it. "the most romantic city in the world. We can stay in bed all day and hold each other as the Eiffel Tower is right in our window. Come on, give me this." I pleaded softly and almost in a whisper.

Harry sighed as he smirked as he watched me plead to go. "You're very lucky I love you." "Yes, I know." I said. "You owe me big time, too." I smiled. "Right. And I will in Paris." I smiled and turned watching a smile appear on Harry's face. We walked back to Edward. "We're in." Edward smiled and clasped his hands together.

We arrived in Paris and Edward's driver drove us to the Hotel.

"Where are we staying?" Harry asked. "Hotel Lutetia." Edward replied. Harry's eyes widened. "Are you serious?" I asked. "The queen probably stays in that hotel!" Harry turned his head to me with narrowed eyes. I looked at him and figured out that what I said was pretty dumb. "What?" I asked and shrugged my shoulders.

Edward shook his head. "Why would I not be serious? You guys deserve to stay somewhere like that." Edward smiled and looked away and looked out the window.

We pulled up to the hotel and Harry and I stared at it, we had to look stupid. Edward was used to this.

We walked to our rooms. Harry opened ours and we all walked in. "Holyyyy..." Harry dropped his bag as he was in shock. "Oh my." I said. I have never stayed in something like this before. I stepped in front of Harry as I looked around the gorgeous room. "Different than living on a farm back home, huh? No pigs and what not..." Harry snickered. I rolled my eyes and looked back at him. "I didn't live on a farm, Harry. Screw you." He winked at me and smiled that cheeky smile.

Edward walked in and gasped. "Oh shoot, I gave you guys the one with one bed." He said looking back at us. "Do you want to switch?" He offered us. Harry shook his head. "No, it's okay, We're already here. I'll take the couch." He said as he went to go feel how soft the couch was. Edward shook his head as he watched Harry make his way to the couch. Almost in a weird stalker way I noticed.

"Oh yeah, this will work." Harry said bouncing on the couch. "Great." Edward said. "Well, I'm going to let you guys get settled in. I will be in my room if you need me. Just right next door." "Gotcha. Thanks Edward." I said smiling at him.

Edward let himself out.

Harry got up from the couch and sighed, "That was close." He said making his way to the room and stopping. He put his hands on his hips as he stared at the bed.

"What?" I asked him. "Don't you think it's weird how he gave us the one with one bed?" Harry asked looking at me. "Like, you think he knows about you and me?" "No, of course not. Why do you?" He asked.

I never really thought that...

"No, not really." I then thought about that note.

No, but someone does.

Harry looked around the room. "This place is amazing." He said. "Yeah, sure does beat a Holiday Inn." I said leaning against the door frame of our room. Harry looked back and smiled. He made his way over to me and once he did, his hands came around my waist and he pulled me closer to him. "A girl like you deserves to LIVE in a place like this." He whispered.

I smiled as our lips became closer. "You think?" Harry shook his head and smiled. Our lips finally touched.

I wrapped my hands around Harry's neck and his hands made their way up my back. "This will be amazing." He said picking  me up and carrying me to the bed.

We hit the bed as Harry stayed on top of me.

I pulled his shirt up and softly ran my fingers down his bare back as Harry's tongue asked for an entrance in my mouth by sliding his tongue along my bottom lip. Soon after that, my hands made their way to Harry's pants. I unbuttoned them as he moaned into my mouth.

There was a knock at the door and Harry lifted up and looked back as I looked behind Harry, we both looked at the door.

"Don't even tell me it's him." Harry said. I pushed Harry gently from between my legs and got off the bed. I walked to the door and looked through the peep hole and then turned my head to Harry.

Harry rolled his eyes and got up putting his shirt back on. "It's like he knew." He said buttoning his pants back up. "Shh." I said opening the door after I made sure Harry was decent.

"Hey, Edward." I said smiling. "Hey." He walked in. "You guys want to go golfing?" I looked at Harry, who looked at me and then at Edward. "Sure."

I never really played golf before, my dad played all my life, but I never joined him out on the course before.

I lined up my club with my ball. "I really don't know what I am doing." I said turning my head to Edward and Harry.

Edward walked over after looking at Harry. "Oh." Edward came up behind me and grabbed my club as he helped me get the hang of how to swing a couple times. "I think she gets it." Harry said.

Yeah, I think that just bothered him a little too much. I lined up again and took my first swing and completely missed it. "For a beautiful girl, that is one ugly swing." Edward said. Harry gave him a look as he was up next.

Harry lined up and didn't even think about the swing, I knew what he was thinking about. He took a swing and watched the ball go far.

"Wow.." I said as I watched the ball land a hundred yards away. Edward nodded. "Good technique."

Harry looked back scowling at him. "You were picturing my head as the ball, right?" Edward said and Harry didn't say a word back.

Edward put his club up. "Next hole. Harry's ball is out there. And yours is in the trees, I think." Edward said pointing at me.

I looked towards the trees. "That's bad, right?"

Edward was trying to be friends, but Harry wouldn't let him in. I felt bad for Edward.

My phone buzzed and I took it out of my pocket.

It was a restricted number that texted me, I opened the text they sent me.

The text read:

You're such a whore.

You can't get a boyfriend of your own so you go for your step brother?

You're so messed up.

I could feel my eyes fill up with tears.

Harry came up from behind.

"Who's texting you?" He asked.

I put my phone back in my pocket real quick. "It's just my dad checking on us."

I hated lying to Harry and keeping this from him, but I didn't want him hurt from it, too.

"You okay?" He asked.

I nodded. "Never better." I smiled.

"Okay." He said smiling back.

"Now let's go before I kill Edward." He said grabbing my arm and pulling me back to the hotel.
