47. Earth Angel: Part 1

"HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY!" I screamed from the bathroom up stairs.

My water broke while I was brushing my teeth. Harry busted into the bathroom. "What's wrong, baby?" he asked huffing from running up the stairs as fast as he could. I held onto the wall beside me as the other hand held my stomach. "Holy crap!" Harry grabbed my arm and helped me down the stairs. My contractions were so far apart, but hurt like no other. I screamed as I waited by the door for Harry to grab the bag and take me. Louis and Eleanor were already there, so they watched Jake for us. "Harry!!! PLEASE GET ME tO THE HOSPITAL, BABY!" I screamed as the tears began to fall. "Oh!" Harry ran to me and opened the door and helped me out. He poked his head back in and told Louis to bring Jake to the hospital after we left.

Harry helped me into the car and drove me to the hospital.

They took Harry and I into my room and waited for Darcy to come. Louis and Eleanor finally showed up with Jake. "Muma!" I heard the little familiar accent. I looked behind Harry who also recognized the accent. Jake ran over to my bed and Harry picked him up and sat him on his lap and Jake grabbed my hand. "Are you okay, muma?" he asked. I could tell he was worried, of course he didn't know what was going on. "Mama's okay, babe. You're baby sister is coming." I smiled when I saw his face light up as he heard me say that. "SHE IS???!!!" Harry chuckled and Jake turned his head around to look at Harry "Daddy! She is coming!! I'm gonna be a big brother!" Harry nodded and smiled "I know, buddy!" Jake turned back around with a smile on his face. The same smile as his father, down to the dimples. "But you have to go wait with Uncle Louis and Aunt Eleanor until then, okay?" I said as he nodded. "I will, muma." he smiled as he jumped off of Harry's lap and grabbed a hold of Louis hand and walked out. I heard the door shut and I leaned up a bit, when I did I got contractions. "Ah!" I grabbed my stomach. Harry stood up "Are you okay? You need anything, baby?" I let out a painful moan and my eyebrows furrowed. "No, I'm okay. It's just contractions." I leaned back and sighed as I got comfortable. "I'm ready for this to be over." I said. Harry nodded and smiled "Before this is all over, we're gonna have two perfect kids." I smiled "Oh my god, I know." I then realized we didn't middle name her. "What will her middle name be? We never discussed it." He thought about it for a minute and I could tell he was thinking pretty hard. He then smiled and looked up at me "Lyneth" I gave me a look. "Why that name?" I asked. I really didn't like it all that much. "It means 'Little Beauty' and if she looks like her mother, well then she deserves a name like that." he said leaning into me. I smiled and then re considered the name, I actually like it after he told me that. I shrugged and then smiled "It could work." his lips then crushed into mine.

Where did I do to deserve a perfect guy like him?

I was planning on another natural birth...or let me just correct that, I was WANTING to TRY to do another natural birth. I didn't do so well with Jake's. I ended up wanting the Epidural. But this time, I told Harry to NOT let me do it again this time. I even told him that the first time, but I told the doctors to just do it and never mind what Harry said. I was now ready to have my baby girl finally. I was excited and nervous all at the same time.

Harry stood next to me as we began. "Are you ready, baby?" he said holding onto my hand. I nervously nodded and then saw my doctor sit in front of me and prepared to get ready. I looked away from her and then up at the ceiling and closed my eyes as I sighed. "Alright on the count of three, Renee, you need to push, okay?" I felt my body start to tense up and I felt the tears begin to sting my eyes. "One..." I looked up at Harry who smiled down at me. "Two..." I sighed and closed my eyes "Three..." I tightened my grip around Harry's hand. "Push, Renee!" my doctor said. I gave her one big push and gave it all I had.

Halfway through the birth, something was wrong. Darcy wasn't coming out at all. "Renee, you need to push as hard as you can, or she won't make it...." I tried my hardest, but it wasn't doing much. Another doctor pulled Harry aside and I watched as Harry had tears in his eyes. He covered his face and began crying harder and lowered his head. I tried another push and still nothing. She wasn't coming out at all. Harry walked back over wiping his tears off of his face and began talking, "Baby, you have to give us the best you can do. They're going to lose Darcy and- and-" He began crying again. I became scared "What Harry?" He looked back up and sniffled "and you..." After Harry told me that, I began pushing harder.

Things started to get weird all of a sudden. I couldn't push Darcy out, she wasn't moving. "Harry..." I said softly. I knew what was happening, it wasn't working and me and Darcy were letting go faster and faster. "Renee..." Harry said and became hysterical "You can do it, baby. Please, don't. Keep holding on." they then grabbed Harry and pulled him into the hall and locked the door. They didn't want him in here for the second option I had. "We need to perform a C-section fast! We're losing them!" I heard my doctor say. Everything was fading in and out. I slowly closed my eyes and I felt like I was letting go uncontrollably. I could hear Harry beating on the door trying to get back in. I slowly turned my head and saw him in the little window on the door. I tried to hang on as much as possible. I felt tears as I looked at Harry one more time before closing my eyes. Harry's eyes were full of tears and they wouldn't stop tearing up. I looked away and still heard him telling me to hang on, but I knew I couldn't.

I closed my eyes and I felt like I let go...

The beating stopped and I didn't hear Harry screaming, I didn't hear the beeping or the sound of the doctors and nurses anymore...
