Dancing in the wind

A collection of poems by Reya Muller

7. Waves

Backwards and forwards

Ever moving on,

Soft swirls and currents crashing on the shore,

Stirring and heaving,it's there then it's gone,

Crashed hard against rocks yet never gets sore,

Sometimes it's calm, lapping on soft sand,

And often it will shimmer, dancing in light,

Or weave between bays, caressing the land,

When it shines like heaven, a sight so bright, I look into it, feeling its wonder,

It will never die, always forever,

Striding firm on the horizon yonder,

To be held by it is my endeavor,

It is so lovely and yet so wild,

Living on forever, the eternal child
