Emma was just a normal, average 16 year old girl bullied by her schoolmates. Something she wished would just stop, but has no courage to stop it. Derek is a jock, the star basketball player of Brentwood High School. Derek knows what he'll soon become, but just doesn't know when. Werewolves have been in his family for generations, and he knows he won't be able to stop it. He knows about imprinting, and knows he's just not ready for it. When he comes back to realization, he imprints on someone faster than he'd predicted. Emma.

38. Chapter 38

Stealthily, I make my way up to Emma's window, making sure no one was watching me enter. My mind was on a frenzy. Emma excepted me.. She really excepted me. There was a part of me that knew she would. That knew she always would. Behind me, I close her window quietly, trying not to wake my sleeping angel. She turns over, but does not wake. Making my way over to her, I pull the covers back and climb in, my chest to her back. She moves again, and this time she's facing me. Her lush green eyes illuminated by the moon peeking in through her window. "You're back." I smile. Yes I am. I can't stay away from you." She smiles and it warms my heart. She was my everything. "I missed you." She reaches up and caresses my face and I revel in the feel of her soft warm hand. I kiss her hand tenderly and then her lips. Her lips mold to mine and I know in that instant that god made them to fit my own. I tilt her head up gently, deepening our heated kiss. You're perfect, my love. I hear her let out a small giggle. It was such a lovely sound to my ears. So are you. I smile against her lips. Pulling back, I whisper in her ear. "You're so perfect to me Emma."
