Emma was just a normal, average 16 year old girl bullied by her schoolmates. Something she wished would just stop, but has no courage to stop it. Derek is a jock, the star basketball player of Brentwood High School. Derek knows what he'll soon become, but just doesn't know when. Werewolves have been in his family for generations, and he knows he won't be able to stop it. He knows about imprinting, and knows he's just not ready for it. When he comes back to realization, he imprints on someone faster than he'd predicted. Emma.

31. Chapter 31: Emma

I was glad Derek and I had finally talked things through. I think I was starting to really believe that he liked me. The bell for school to be over rings. Ugh, finally! I exit the classroom and find Derek waiting for me. He leans against the wall and smiles a sexy smile. "You ready baby..?" "Mhm." He grins and loops his fingers through mine. "Let's go before the traffic get's really bad." His black Charger is waiting outside for us to climb in and drive away. He unlocks the car and opens the passenger side, his hand gesturing me to get in. I smiled to myself. Who knew it'd be nice having a boyfriend..?
Derek pulls up in his driveway and my mouth falls open. Derek Blade's house.. He had the biggest house I had ever seen. He grabs my chin. "You okay?" I nod slowly. "I'm fine. Your house is just.. huge." He grins, and I know it's something he is proud about. "Why are you so shocked? It's not much bigger than your own. Come on. We have studying to do." Climbing out of the car, We walk up to the front door. Derek fishes his key out of his back pocket. Opening the door, he gestures me to walk in first. On the way in I bump into the door frame and loose my balance, but Derek steadies me. He chuckles. "Be careful you clumsy little thing. Go sit down on the couch." This time I enter the house successfully. Wow. His house was amazing inside and out.. I oblige to what Derek says and sit down on the couch, lowering my backpack to the floor. Derek does the same. For some reason, I felt different.
We were only ten minutes into our studying and I felt.. weird. My head was pounding and my vision was beginning to blur. What was happening to me? I tried to hold my pencil as I wrote, but my hand kept on shaking. Derek grabs my shoulder gently. "Emma, are you okay..?" A worried look captivated his face. "Um.. Y-Yes. I-I'm fine." He grabs my hands. "Are you feeling sick?" I shake my head. "No, I'm f-fine." I tried writing again, tried to relax. But I couldn't stop the shaking. It eventually became hard to see what I was writing. Everything suddenly became unbearable. I drop the things in my lap and fall to the floor, everything around me going black.
