2. Chapter 2

I walked through the door, and miss nimmo beamed at me. "Sophie! Good morning dear!
. She smiled again and gestured for me to take a seat. We had desks, but we worked outside so much, they were hardly used. Slowly, kids filed into class, some later than others. Ms. Nimmo never griped if we were late, and simply reiterated what she said if a student missed it.

"Hello, class!" Everyone chorused an answer. "Well, today, we will working towards a end off year disk. Instruments, singing, whatever you can work in pairs. We only have to the end to get the job done, so come on!" Ms. Nimmo.
I went in to one off the empty music stalls no one had asked to be my partner so I jus went in by myself I walked up to the keyboard that what I could play the best I looked around and say a microphone 2 guitars and some drums. Suddenly Harry walked in I sent him a questioning glance.
"Everyone else has a partner." He shrugged. "Sorry."

I sighed. "Just close the door and get in here." As soon as he closed the door I told him he would have to do vocals "but I've never sung before other then in the shower I'm rubbish you can sing"
"Umm no I'm real bad I can play piano, guitar, violin cello, flute and kinda drums but sing not a chance in hell"
"Fine but if its bad you can't tell any one and we will just do a percussion track."
"Deal" I said sticking my hand out he shock it. "Right well no time like the present why song you gonna sing to see if your any good?"
"What now babe, oh I get it want to see if your man can sing"
"One never call me babe two your not my man"
"Not yet babe" he said smirking and I rolled my eyes at him
"Sing then"
"Fine" he walked up to the microphone and sang

There was a time
I used to look into my father's eyes.
In a happy home
I was a king, I had a golden throne.
Those days are gone,
Now the memory's on the wall.
I hear the songs
From the places where I was born.
I picked up form there he was in the song on the piano and he carried on.

Upon the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."

There was a time
I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world,
I thought I'd never lose her out of sight.
We were so young, I think of her now and then.
I still hear the songs reminding me of a friend.

Upon the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak.
I still remember how it all changed.
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."

Oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh!

See heaven's got a plan for
See heaven's got a plan for you
See heaven's got a plan for you

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child.
See heaven's got a plan for you.
Don't you worry, don't you worry now."

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!
After we finished, we looked at each other he really was a good singer. I leaned against the wall and he did the same. "You know, I actually don't mind being around you when I don't want to kill you," I told him.

Harry laughed. "Well,. It's probably a rare occurrence." I smiled and walked over to guitar "you know your a really good singer" Harry approached the other guitar the side. Of Our hands accidently touched and he looked up at me. Then he chuckled, reaching forward, I backed up a little. "Relax. You have string in your hair." I nodded and stepped forward again. He retrieved the string and brushed my hair behind my ear. I gave him a questioning look.

"You honestly don't look that bad today," he said, barely above a whisper. I nodded and looked away. The bell rang, saving me from an awkward silence.

"Thanks," I said, exiting the music room, and heading back to the classroom. I tried not to think about the fact that he'd given me a compliment. Then I frowned wasnt it more like an insult I headed o my next class, stopping by my locker to gather my history book.

I hated history with a passion. People always say that the past is the past, and that we should leave it behind us. Therefore, why have a history. However, when I walked into class today, I saw a poster hung up, from the ceiling to the floor. I glanced at Mrs. Evens, our replacement history teacher. Our original teacher left her job because her daughter got really ill.

I sat in my desk, closer to the front than to the back. The poster had lots of Olympic athletes from well ancient greek all the way back to now a days like Tom Daley and Jessica Ennis . As the bell rang, Mrs. Evens began passing out a paper. "I'd like you to find someone with the surname or forname that matches your card you can look in the books if you are stuck"

I looked at my sheet. It said Mo on it. I stood up and turned around my name in my hand and noticed that most of the class was up a lot paired up even. Mrs. Even was looking around amused at the front of the room, sometimes frowning and telling people they where wrong it was as though she were amused though. Occasionally people would ask me who I was and I would tell them every one said your looking for Farrah I already new that but I thanked them any way. Someone tapped me on the shoulder I turned round and saw a boy with deep brown eyes and buzz cut brown hair. "Please tell me you Mo I've asked every one"
"I'm guessing your Farrah then" he nodded "so you're Mo right"
"Yes yes I am ....."
"Liam Liam Payne"
"I'm Sophie Sophie Fletcher"

"Well, class, these are your pairs for the topic" some people groaned out loud, or even giggled when they got their partner. "Now that we all know our partners, we will start our new unit: the history of Sport and fitness . You will all do a project in pairs . You may pick out your favourite athletes or sport. I will even allow you to pick one you hate. It will be due by the end of the semester. There will be a five page report on them." The class groaned. "However, you are permitted to include your opinion. There will be an spoken presentation, accompanied with a Power Point project, showing pictures and facts about your . The person you pick or sport must relate to some form of history such as football you say where it came from what year so in ," Mrs. Evens said, passing out a success criteria

Liam turned around. "This should be easy. I love Running . I'll probably finish mine ahead of time, if I find time write the paper. After that, I can give you a hand." I nodded gratefully. Honestly, the only sport I knew about was running to. dave always said that it was his favourite, it was mine too since it was the only sport I could do well.

The bell rang, and I went through the rest of the day, nothing amusing happening. That is, until I went to the parking lot.

Harry was leaning on my car , staring into space dramatically. I rolled my eyes and continued forward. I tried to put on an annoyed look, but I couldn't help but notice his curly hair and the dimples on his face that never left. I cleared my throat, to get his attention and change my focus from checking him out.

"Hey," he said, a little quickly.

"Hi," I said cautiously.

"I'm sorry ," Harry told me, sounding sincere and then he walked away without another word. I hopped in my car to get out the freezing cold,I started up the engine, hummed to life, I drove out the car park and, headed home.

The second I started driving down my street I knew something was up.

I parked in my usual spot, calling out for Dave. He told me he was in the gym, so I followed him in there. "What going on outside?"

I glanced out the window and Dave copied my actions. "I'm not sure I think we have new neighbours?" He said
"Seriously?!" I asked, . He nodded. I was so glad the house next to ours has been empty for years it was so creepy!

"Are you going to see who it is?"

"I'll think about it. " I said. Henry started nipping at my laces, seemingly trying to take my attention I laughed and brushed her once before heading to the kitchen.

"I'm going to go and take a shower," Dave said,
"I'll start dinner." dave nodded and I went into the kitchen.

About half an hour later, I had dinner on the table. As we sat down to eat, Dave started up a conversation. "So, anything new?" he asked.

"Not really," I answered.

"Any boys?" Dave questioned.
"Wha – Dave!" I protested. "No, no boys."

"None at all?" He squinted at me. Not unless you count the one that makes my life miserable, then tells me I don't look terrible.
And definitely don't!
"Nope," I confirm. "What about you? Any clients?" I asked. Dave had tried to get more costumes to come to his gym but it wasn't working well

Dave shrugged. "Not really." I rolled my eyes. "Don't say a word," he threatened kiddingly talking about my disco Idea. I laughed. We carried on a conversation throughout dinner, me washing the dishes afterwards. I sent Dave to bed, finished my homework, and went up myself.
