“Septimus! Septimus! Wake up! We are sitting ducks for whatever ghastly thing Brazeedas has got planned for us!,” Goliath splashed Septimus with seawater, “Hurry!”

“The wind must have been so strong”

“It was, I let the sail loose and we drifted on swiftly and quietly.”

Septimus turned and squinted, “Goliath? Get the oars and start paddling! We have to mover fast! My sister, my sister is over there! Now quickly! Diolace!    “She is a sacrifice to the Sea Serpent which is to come at noon.” Called Brazeedas.

“What?,” Goliath stepped away from the tiny sail and tuned in, “Sea Serpent?”

“What?!” exclaimed Diolace, “You wouldn’t dare! If that monster gets out of control the whole city shall be in ruin!”

“Diolace! I have to cut the rope! Goliath do you have a-“

“It is here! It comes! Sent by the Gods themselves!” Brazeedas screamed.   Goliath, Septimus and Diolace slowly turned and saw the wave’s part, a tail whipped and fin floated. Green scales came to the surface of the water and coiled to reveal a thick snout, gaping jaws and a long, thin blood red forked tongue…
