16. His Visions

Brazeedas sat on the dirt floor, with mud surrounding him; he laid down a sheet that he had found, underneath him, to protect himself from mud, he believed he was superior, and if you were, you couldn’t afford to get dirty. He sat still, staring at an ant that had crawled up onto his leg, he stuck his finger on it, pressed his finger against his leg to kill it good and proper, then he winced, and brushed tiny victim off of his leg in disgust. In his head, he pictured what the battle might be, him beating Goliath, slicing his head of like a pig killed for meat, and then finishing the job by killing Diolace and Septimus, then burning there bodies as a public event. Maybe not Diolace, she would have to beg at his feet for forgiveness then he would spare her. Maybe. Brazeedas knew that it was not possible for him to lose; he was the mightiest warrior in the whole of Athens, therefore, he figured that he didn’t have to train at all, and he closed his eyes. The battle would come, and he would be ready.
