19. Dragged to the Depths

“Don’t lie Brazeedas!” Goliath exclaimed, “Know one would side with you!”

“Hades and Persephone actually.”

“Persephone?”

“Yes, she has a grudge against you because it was your fault that Athens crumbled, the beautiful scenery, and spring plants.”

“But it was your fault, you angered Zeus!”

“Exactly, and now you will die.” Goliath turned around to see Diolace and Septimus walking toward him.

“Septimus! Diolace! Run!” Goliath looked up behind Diolace and stared.

“Goliath!” Diolace did the same as the ground cracked around Goliath, Septimus jumped into the cracking ring of ground with Goliath.

“What has Brazeedas done?”

“Hades and Persephone have sided with him!”

“What?!”

“You will just have to go along with this! Wait.”

“What?”

“Diolace.” Goliath and Septimus slowly turn around to see Diolace being held by the throat in mid air by a flowering tulip.

“Argh! Goliath!” Diolace began to choke. Then, out of the cracks in the ground, emerged Hades’ beautiful wife Persephone. Her dark curly hair fell just below her shoulders, her dress was made using roots creating intricate patterns which were the roots embroidered into the moss and silk dress that was ripped and had many layers. Her eyes were a deep mahogany expressing hate and beauty, she reached her sleeveless had out and roots and daffodils reached up to her hands and curled around her flower patterned nails.

“Is thee here planning to fight Brazeedas wench?” Persephone eyes began to well up with tears, because of the ruins that surrounded her, “What have you done! You wretched beast! It is time for a girl to girl chat.”

“I, I, did not do this, Brazeedas, he, he anger, angered the Gods, Zeus!” Diolace spluttered and as Persephone’s tears fell onto the ground, new plants grew, “You cannot-

“Leave her alone! Ow!” Goliath screamed, as a part of rock slit his toe, as the ground around him wasted and only a podium was let, “She is not to blame!”

“Ah, I see, you have feelings for this one,” Persephone grabbed Diolace by her cheeks and Diolace threw her scrunched face away. Goliath dared to stare at Persephone, the goddess of spring.

“Ah, thy wonder whether new life shall sprout from this affair.”

“What?” Brazeedas on the side line said, “She and him? That is the biggest nonsense I have ever heard.”

“Ah Brazeedas, I cant see it in her eyes, she is drawn to him, and he is drawn to her,” she laughed out loud suddenly, “The dirt and clean, the dull and pretty, the old and the new. Maybe Goliath and Septimus should have a play with Hades?”

“No! Argh! No!” Diolace exclaimed, “No! Leave, leave them!

“You cannot stop the god of the underworld.”

“You need to decide what, what is right, and argh, what, what is wrong!” Diolace was squeezed by ivy flowing through her fingers and body.

“You cannot stop me or Hades!” suddenly, fire spat from below the podium where Goliath and Septimus stood, and slowly but surely the podium began to sink.

“No! No! Goliath! Septimus!

“Remember me as your brother Diolace!”

“I love you!” Goliath and Septimus’s face sunk, as did the podium Diolace began to turn green as the ivy spread more over her body.

“Don’t worry Diolace, they wont survive! Ha!” Persephone cackled as her hair flew around her face while the podium descended, and Diolace saw her lovers face for may what be the last time.

“So Diolace, why would Goliath want you? For only one reason I would imagine.”

“He is a good, kind hearted person, unlike you, what kind of father will you be”

“Oh Diolace,” Persephone questioned, “Do you love another?”

“Father?” Brazeedas questioned.

“I bear your child you idiot, and your child, your child, will, will know of the deeds you have done, and they, they will know the truth, and, and not lies.” Diolace’s throat got tighter and tighter. Brazeedas stared at the fire spitting through the air, Diolace sobbed through the tulips and ivy and wailed. She dreaded what went on in Hades lair…
