4. Death Boat

Goliath woke up at dawn, and prepared and loaded a small yet sturdy boat ready to sail for Athens. Though all the time he feared that the Gods might rain hell on them, the wind was strong, the air was cold, and the night was frightening. Then from behind he heard a familiar voice.

“The Athenians have angered me,” Septimus whispered.

“Haven’t they angered all?” Goliath turned, but did not smile, or frown.

“Their foul breath has diseased our land.”

“My friend, what has happened?” Goliath clenched his fist, as if Brazeedas stood in front.

“My wife took a drop of water into herself, and died. The water wells had been poisoned by Brazeedas he is always one valuable step ahead of us Goliath, I am coming, but how will we beat him? He is doing this because I we tried to murder him. I have killed my family and put everyone in danger.

“I tried to get rid of him too.”

Get away from me Goliath, leave me! Save yourself! Everyone who I love has died, and I can’t lose you, my best friend.” Goliath looked to the rising sun and new the time was right.

“I will not leave you. The only reason we tried to kill him is because we saw evil in his heart, you were caring for your younger sister.”

“I lit a flare of evil inside him.” Septimus said, “If I and does this, then everyone may still be alive.” Goliaths burning hatred for Brazeedas grew ever stronger he sat on the boat and picked up an oar, Septimus did not move.

“Coming?” Goliath said.

Septimus nodded and climbed into the boat, he took an oar, and they set sail for what could be their deaths.
