4. The waiting room

Harry's POV

I didn't know what was happening. One moment Emma was talking and then next she collapsed. The three of us got a taxi and rushed her to the nearest hospital. When we checked her in the doctors wouldn't let me go back there with her. They told me to just sit in the waiting room. So I have now been sitting there for almost two hours. Liam and Zayn stayed and waited with me,but I could tell they where tired. "You should go back to the hotel and get some sleep." I said to them.

"We don't mind waiting." Zayn said. "But if you want to be alone, we completely understand." Liam added. I didn't have to answer  the question for them to know what I was thinking. Because I just wanted to sit here and be myself. Every time I tried to close my eyes I kept seeing Emma in the hospital six moths ago. She was hooked up to several medical devices.  Her face was covered in scars and she was having a bit of trouble breathing so she to get a Tracheal tube inserted. My eyes came flying open when and elderly nurse started shaking my shoulders trying to wake me up.

"Excuse me young man, but do you know how we can contact a parent or guardian for the patient Emma Patterson" she asked   The was only one person that came to mind.

"Her mum Anna." I said.

"Okay do you know  how I can reach her?" The small elderly nurse asked. I told her what hotel she was staying at. The nurse was able to find out her room number and paged her. The nurse came walking back towards me. "Her mother is on her way." She said. "How's Emma?" I asked her. "She's still unconscious." The nurse said then walked away. I wasn't really looking forward to seeing Emma's mum.  She is one of the contributing reasons why Emma doesn't remember me. Anna never really did like me. For what I don't exactly know.

Anna got to the hospital really fast. "Where is she? Emma Patterson i'm her mother." She demanded at a nurse sitting at a desk. "Ma'am give me just a second to find her room number." A nurse said politely. As a nurse searched the computer for her room number.  Ann got one quick glance at me and started angrily walking towards.

"I should have known you where involved." She yelled. I got out of me seat to try and explain to her what happened, but she didn't give me the chance to speak. "How did she find you? What did you say to her?" She asked insistently.

"If you didn't want me seeing her then why did you bring her to the show tonight?" I asked her not answering her questions. She didn't respond. "And yes I told her and that's when she fainted." I said. She narrowed her eyes at me. "You told her?!" Anna yelled.

"Yes, but I didn't tell her everything." I said.

"Well good, because she doesn't need a reminder of what happened that night." Anna said.

"So its okay that she can't remember me? I loved Emma and I still do!" I blared.

"It's better this way Harry. Your young i'm sure a guy like you won't have a hard time finding someone else." Anna said.

"I'm not going anywhere until I see her." I said. Before Anna could say another word a doctor approached us.

"Hi are you Emma's mother?" He asked her.

"Yes is she okay?" Anna asked him.

"My name is Dr. Harrington and she is fine. She just woke up." He said.

"What happened to her and can I see her now?" Anna asked.

"She probably got really dizzy or startled. Which causing her to pass out." Dr. Harrington said.

"So I can see her?" Anna asked again.

"Of course right this way." The doctor said leading us to her room. I trailed in behind Anna. When we got inside her room Emma was lying in the hospital bed changing the channels on the television. Anna rushed by her side and began hugging. Dr. Harrington left the room and I stood in the corner of the room.

"Harry." Emma said. I stood out from around the corner and walked closer to her. Her mother took a seat in the chair in the room.

"How are you feeling?" I asked.

"Good." She replied.

"Okay then. Now you that she is well you can go now." Anna said. I didn't what I should have said. I didn't want to say anything  that might upset Emma. "This may sound a bit strange but can I give you a hug goodbye?" I asked her. Emma gave a strange look then she smiled at me.

"Why not." She said. As I leaned in to hug her. "It's not every day when I get to hug a member from one direction." Emma said as she hugged me back. I didn't want to let her go, but I knew I had to.

"Your really not going to explain it to her are you?" I asked Anna.

"Explain what?" Anna asked. As I was getting ready to walk out of the room Emma stopped me. "I think you have me confused for someone else. I mean when I saw you in the hallway you thought I was someone you knew." Emma said.

"Your probably right." I choked.

"Well I hope you find her and she is really luck to have you." She smiled.

"More so I was lucky to have her." I said to her.

"Hey mom i'm thirsty could you go get me something to drink?" Emma asked her mum. Her mum looked at us skeptically then she agreed to do it. She kissed Emma her forehead and left the room.

"Close the door." Emma said as soon as her mum was down the hall.

"What?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Close it Harry!" She demanded. I closed the door and sat down where her mum was sitting. She just looked at me for a while."Hi."she finally said.

"Hi." I smiled.
