As I walked through the door into my house I went through the events of the day. I had already made seven awesome friends- excluding Jessica of course. All of the guys were so amazing. I can't believe that I had all of their cell numbers! Almost as if he knew I was thinking about them, my phone rang. It was a text from Harry. He wanted to know if I could get dinner with him some time. I squealed with excitement before calmly replying that I would love to. He replied: Great. I'll pick you up at 5 this Friday. :)       I sat down at my kitchen table and stayed there for a few minutes in a daze. How could I go from being the new girl to hanging out with the popular kids? In one day? It amazes me.

I was up in my room trying to finish my homework while lying on my stomach in my bed when I heard my mom walk in through the front door.  She was talking on her cell phone with her new publishing company. I walked to the top of the staircase and overheard her trying to schedule some meetings and stuff. Once she finished on the phone she called out to me, " Claire! I'm home and I found this great restaurant that does take out! I got us some for dinner!" I rolled my eyes. I hated take-out. Couldn't she just take the time to cook? "That's great mom!" I shouted to her, "Call me down when your ready to eat!" I lazily walked back into my room. I checked my phone. Oh god. Niall had texted me and he wanted to know if i was busy this Friday night. Around 4 pm. I replied to him saying that I was going to be doing something with Harry. Niall texted back within seconds saying that it was fine and maybe we could do something the next day. I replied back, accepting his offer. Niall offered to pick me up around noon this Saturday to go to the park. I gave him my final yes. Oh god. I had two date with two different boys I met today this weekend. What's next? When I get so popular? This is such a huge difference from how I was treated back at my old high school. Before barely anyone wanted to talk to me. I was ignored and shoved around. Now it seems like they can't get enough of me. Maybe British people have a thing for American chicks with red highlights.

After dinner I headed back up to my room.  The food tasted like sawdust and cheese.  I shoved it down my throat only to please my mom.  I told it her it was almost as good as Grandma's.  She beamed at me, as if she made it herself.  I shook my head as I thought about this.  Ever since it happened.  My mom has been a workaholic.  I know.  I know.  This is how some people deal with traumatic events that happen in their lives.  I shouldn't be so judgmental   She does a lot for me.  I just wish that she could spend some more time with me.  We don't even have a proper mother-daughter relationship.  I barely tell her anything.

I was going through my closet, trying to decide two different outfits to wear to my two dates.  I went through some clothes and tossed them on the bed before promptly throwing them on the ground in disgust.  What the hell am I supposed to wear on a date?  I've never been on one before.  Is there some kind of code about going on dates?  Were there rules or some kind of ritual that happens?  I thought about my two very different dates.  One was a dinner and the other was a day at the park.  I pulled out a few more pieces of clothing before deciding that I would have to go to the mall before my dates.

I shoved all of my clothes on the ground before falling onto my bed.  I shoved my face in the fluffy pillows before letting out a muffled scream.  I flipped onto my back and grabbed the laptop that was sitting next to my bed.  After wasting two hours of my life that I would never get back, I turned off the lights and went to bed.

Niall's POV

As I read the Claire's reply to my text, my stomach dropped.  She already had plans with Harry?  Why does he always go after the same girls as me?  Can't anything be simple?  Harry always got the girls he wanted.
