The Half-Truth (One Direction)

Claire's mother Elizabeth Mccray, famous author, takes herself and her daughter from New Jershey to London, England. Of course Claire, 17, is not happy about moving halfway through her senior year at highschool. Once settled into her new home, she meets some of the best friends she'll ever have; Morgan, Jessica, Ethan, and of course, the boys. Claire realizes that maybe this is the chance she's been waiting for; a fresh start. Soon enough, she finds herself falling for a boy she never thought she would love. Claire's new friends want to trust her, but they know she's not telling them someting important about herself.

Morgan was hard to keep up with. She moved around the mall like a bunny on a sugar high. Everytime she saw something she like she would squeel and run over to it like a little kid. When she saw something she dissapproved of she got this sort of look on her face. I don't know. It's hard to explain. She scrunched up her nose and a look of disgust appeared in her eyes. It was hard not to laugh when she talked about clothes.

"Oh my gosh! This shirt would be PERFECT for Jess!"

"Don't even think about trying THAT dress on, Claire. It would make you look like my Aunt Nancy's Easter dress!"

"Harry would love you in that!"

"Do you think Zayn would like this shirt?"

Suddenly, she stopped dead in her tracks in front of a window with a mannequin in it. She looked at the mannequin, then me. Then the mannequin. Then me. "Oh my gosh Claire! That exact outfit would be amazing on you for your date with Harry!" She dragged me into the store and told one of the sales people to pull the outfit out in my size. I looked at the outfit.  It wasn't something I would have chosen for myself, but I tried it on anyway.

When I stepped out of the dressing room, Morgan's jaw dropped a little.  I figured that she was being overly dramatic.

"Claire," Morgan started to say, "Just get that outfit. It's absolutely perfect for your date.  I'm dead serious. I've never been so serious in my life. You look stunning"

Morgan nodded at me to go look in the mirror. I sighed and walked over to the dressing room and took a look.  Wow. She wasn't joking.  I looked half decent.  The colors of the clothing brought my eyes and mad emu overly pale skin look a little less pasty.

I walked back to Morgan and declared my love for th outfit, " It's absolutely perfect Morgan!  Great job!"  Morgan beamed at my praise.

"Now we just have to find the next outfit for your day with Niall!" Morgan exclaimed.

By that time I was pretty tired.  Before we had gone into that store, we had previously gone into like a billion other shops.  My feet felt like jelly.

"Sorry Morgan, I'm really tired and haven't finished homework yet.  Maybe you could come by my house some other time?"  I said apologetically.

Morgan looked quite sad for a minute before she smiled again, "That's  all right.  I have homework too.  Text me a picture of your outfit for your second date and I will give the go ahead for your date."
