Mind Trap

Written in two twin sisters P.O.V.'s, this story is about Camilla, who occupies herself by art and reading, and Cassandra, who likes cell phones and acting. They're just normal twins with normal problems...they both live in completely different worlds! They have different friends, talents, and clothing styles, but there's one thing the two both enjoy- writing. One day somebody comes into both Cassandra and Camilla's lives, trying to fix their rough relationship. It change's the girl's lives forever and what they think of about one another. :D
If you could give me some feedback I'd really appreciated it! Thanks!

Cassandra

I don’t know why Cammie has such a bad attitude about everything. It’s just that I feel like I’m doing so much to contribute to the family and she just sits there writing and drawing, although I am completely sure that she would beg to differ. Well whatevs. It’s not like I care what she thinks. Sure, that’s “Her life” but it doesn’t mean it literally has to cloud her from the rest of the world and blame the cluelessness on me.

Ok, so Cammie likes to write and draw. So what. I have my own life too, which insists strictly of a certain schedule:

1.       Wake up and go to school

2.       Homework.

3.       Piano practice and singing lessons

4.       Go outside: maybe play basketball or football with Jonah

5.       Acting lessons (sometimes maybe a play or two)

6.       Write

7.       Check my e-mail, type my book, and research stuff for extra-credit work.

8.       Go to bed. (Sometimes look over books or scripts after Mom and Dad go downstairs)

That’s my life. She has hers and I have mine. And that’s cool and all, but sometimes she wants my life. No, I say, no. It’s mine. She can’t act like I can. She can’t maintain a relationship with a boy like I can. She can’t sing like I can, or shoot half as many hoops as I can. Sure, I can’t draw, but why do I care?  Drawing won’t get you tons of money and your face on the cover of Teen United Today. Like she even cares about whether she looks good. (No, Cammie, don’t lie to me). She has her life and I have mine.

And it’s all alright that way, right? Is anyone going to try to stop us from living how we want to? We both live in alternate worlds like were not twins or sisters or anything. We’ve been this way since we were born, and we’re never, not ever, going to change our perspective of each other and their lives.

At an early age Cammie was drawing pictures everywhere; on papers, on the sidewalk, even on the walls and floors. Whereas I was in plays and commercials since I was two. I was in my first commercial a week before I turned two. It was a commercial for um…pull ups I think, but I was so cute in it and got a lot of profits anyway and I was so little everyone thought I was cute and no one holds the pull ups against me these days but Cammie.

Since then, we’ve each had our own lives. Cammie’s had her life of drawing and writing with her friends from school newspaper committee and I’ve had my friends from Drama Club and different plays I’ve been in.  She has maybe her four close friends, but I don’t really have that many close friends, but I have four times as many contacts on my email account and my cell phone.

I remember a time when we both took dance classes every Friday at the same studio. Cammie and I got in a fight with another girl because they said that we were actually nice to each other. Since then Mother hasn’t let me take dance again.

So there’s why we’re never going to be the same. We won’t ever think alike, act alike, live even similar lives. We’re alternate- and we want it to stay that way.
