Chapter Five

My eyes fluttered open as the new morning’s sun shone in from the open window. As I tried to sit up, I suppressed a groan when I felt my body being held down by an unknown weight. Scrunching an eyebrow in confusion, I looked down at my torso.

A surprised gasp escaped my lips when I saw curly brown hair. What the...? I blinked my eyes as last night’s memories came flooding back. We were leaving the pizza joint when all of the sudden fans mobbed all around, screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs that they found One Direction. I remember being blinded by the many flash from cameras and a pounding headache from all the screams. Liam, always the smart one, somehow managed to get us through the crowd and I led them to my car and told them to get in. I had sped off, telling them that I was taking them to my house and they could call their driver when we got there. Obviously, they ended up staying the night.

I glanced at my bed, wondering how five boys and two girls managed to sleep comfortably on my queen sized bed. Shaking my head, I placed my hands on each side of Harry's head and gently held it up. When I was standing, I quickly let one hand go and grabbed a pillow and softly placed his head back onto it.

When I glanced at the clock, I realized it was eleven o'clock and my stomach was growling. Scrunching an eyebrow, I debated on whether or not waking them, or at least one of them. Deciding against it, I exited my room. As I walked down the stairs I put my messy bed hair into a high pony tail. I decided that since I was housing five boys for the night, that I would make them a nice breakfast.

Shuffling into the kitchen, I went straight to the fridge and grabbed the ingredients for pancakes. I walked over opposite of the stove and grabbed a large, white mixing bowl. When I dumped all the ingredients into the bowl and had it stirred, I turned on the stove and placed a large pan on top. I grabbed a ladle and poured a sufficient amount of batter onto the pan. I walked over to my Keurig and decided on French vanilla flavor for today.

"Need some help?"

"Oh my God!" I screeched, almost dropping the coffee cup I had in my hand. I spun around, a shocked expression on my face and my hand covering my heart. "Harry, you scared the hell out of me." I hissed.

"Sorry?" He said, an innocent look crossing his features. I looked at him accusingly as his statement came out more of a question, rather than a true apology. He looked like he was holding back a smile.

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes, turning back to the stove and flipping the pancake. "You could help by setting the table." I instructed, looking over my shoulder at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Hmm," He hummed. "Demanding, I like it." He winked at me and I only rolled my eyes at him.

I stopped short at pouring in the next ladle of batter. Was I... no I couldn't possibly be flirting with Harry Styles... could I? I mean, he was undoubtedly hot and had a caring side that came out when he chose to be. Somehow, my mind fluttered over to Niall.

I blinked my eyes when I started to smell the pancake burning. I hadn't even realized that I poured in the batter. I quickly flipped the pancake and turned back to Harry. A gasp escaped my lips when I noticed he was right behind me. "Hello to you too..." I whispered, a small smile fluttering onto my lips.

"Tables done." He smiled brightly, his dimples coming to show.

"Thanks." I smiled. "When do you think they'll wake up?" I asked him. "Molly usually wakes up when she realizes I'm gone from the room... how she knows is always a mystery to me."

Harry laughed at my statement and took a step back. "Niall usually when he smells food and Liam should be awake soon... we might have to wake up Zayn unless Niall does or something."

About ten minutes later, my ears were filled with the stomping of feet. I turned around, twisting my body away from the television and glanced at the stairs. I saw three set of feet, and noted that one pair was missing.

"Where's the food!" I heard the Irish boy yell, and I glanced up at him when he stopped in front of me. His eyes were gleaming and his hair was ruffled from his previous sleeping state. I then glanced beside him where Molly stood.

A laugh bubbled out of my chest. "You two look the same." I pointed a finger at their hair.

Molly rolled her eyes at me, but ignored the comment. "Is that your pancakes I smell?"

I nodded my head, standing up from the couch and smoothing down my shorts. "Yup," I smiled, popping the 'p' in the word. They both perked up, running past me and quickly into the kitchen. My eyes widened and I briskly followed behind them. As soon as I entered the kitchen, I saw they crowding the counter where I placed the freshly made fluffy pancakes. "Stop!" I shouted, placing my hands on my hips. Niall, Liam, Harry, and Molly all stopped in their places and slowly turned towards me, eyes wide and mouths hanging open. "Sit down and I'll put the pancakes on the table." I instructed, pointing an angry finger at the table for six.

They all put their heads down towards the ground and moodily walked over to the table. I grabbed the plate of pancakes and placed it in the middle where everyone could grab as many as they wanted. "Now, half of these are plain and half are chocolate chip, I made ten of each- so please, share." I ordered them.

They all nodded their heads and dug into the food.

"Hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number, so call me maybe." I sang into the hairbrush as I glanced over myself in the mirror. A wide smile was placed on my pink glossed lips as I fluffed my bright red hair. "It's hard to look right, at you baby. But here's my number, so call me maybe."

"You didn't tell me you could sing."

I jumped from shock and dropped the brush onto the ground. Taking a deep breath, I clutched my fast beating heart and turned towards the door. "Don't scare me." I scolded Niall, glaring murderously at him.

He chuckled, leaning on the door frame and crossing his arms over his chest. "Sorry, we were just wondering where you were." He smiled at me, before he kicked himself off the door and bent down to pick up the hair brush. "We're about to watch a movie, so come downstairs." He told me. He turned to walk away, but stopped mid stride and turned back around. He held his hand out towards me, and I looked down at it, realizing he still had my make-shift microphone in his hand. "You deserve a real microphone with that voice."

I blinked my eyes, my heart beating fast. It took me a minute to realize it wasn’t' from being scared, it was from him. A blush formed on the apples of my cheeks. Did Niall Horan just compliment my singing? This question was going a million times on repeat in my head.

"Hey Madi, did Niall come and tell you we were going to watch a movie?" I heard Molly's voice before I saw her.

I didn't get scared this time, I was to shocked to move from the spot I stood still in. I blinked my eyes and looked up at her, my mouth hanging open.

"What's wrong with you?" She quizzed me, scrunching her eyebrow in confusion. "I swear I never see you this speechless."

"He... he just..." I couldn't even seem to form words. I began to debate why I was so flustered over this. Sure, some people have told me I have a good voice, but none of those people have ever been a cute, sweet Irish pop star in the biggest boy band of this year. I blinked my eyes again, letting the shock and pride ripple away. "Yeah, I'm fine." I stood up straight. "What movie are we watching?" I asked her as I stepped out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I looked down at my clothes, glad that I chose a pair of sofee shorts and an oversized shirt now.

"I think Harry said something about Toy Story." Molly grumbled.

I shook my head at her. "I don't get why you don't like that movie, it's an epic movie." I told her.

"I know it is, it's just Amanda like to watch it so much." She said, referring to her eight year old sister.

"Let's go, I smell popcorn." I said, ignoring her last comment and walking out my door.

When I walked into the living room, I almost laughed at the sight. Harry and Louis had managed to sit next to each other on the leather chair and Zayn had his back leaning against Harry's legs. Niall was at one end of the couch and Liam at the other. I gnawed on my bottom lip, debating on where to sit. Niall had the popcorn bowl beside him, so I decided to sit down next to him. I skipped over to him and plopped down next to him. He smiled at me and I smiled back, ignoring the butterfly's that erupted in my stomach. I saw Molly pout out of the corner of my eyes as she stared at the now full couch. I smiled sadly at her, motioning with my eyes for her to sit by Zayn on the floor, but my eye conversation was cut short quickly when I felt Niall’s arm on my shoulder as he pulled me closer into his side. I had to curl my legs up against his I was so close. My eyes widened and I saw Molly wink at me as she sat down next to me on the couch that could now easily fit another person.

"Is this okay?" I heard Niall whisper at me.

I could only nod my head as I comfortably sat my head on his chest.

This was most definitely okay.
