1. I write Sonnets

Inspiration strikes, need to write this down

My pen flies across page, spewing ink

At my whimsical method people frown

Who cares, I have no time to stop and think

Try follow iambic pentameter

I write in fourteen lines, no more, no less

About any and all subject matter

It soothes my aching heart, I confess

You choose your poison, I choose my sonnets

Structured and strict, it still seems flexible

Fills me with awe, like watching bright comets

Mine fluctuate from strange to sensible

Inspiration strikes, need to write this down

Hope when I read back I don't cringe and frown
