Still so innocent

A sonnet expressing the 'innocence' of our generation

1. Still so innocent

Class rooms singing, swaying with the music

Who needs education, we'll learn from life

Then it's much more likely we'll use it

When dealing with all our issues and strife.

Music is our universal language

If only we could dance the wars away

Nobody says we've gotta act our age

Let's let our inner child come out to play.

Our generation inherited it

Extinction, pollution, ammunition

Who said we wanted any of it?

To end it all our hopeless ambition.

We are just children, still so innocent

Mess with us, we wont be so complacent.
