10. Singing Lessons

So Taylor also hooked me up with her singing coach. Taylor has to do everything to insure that I won't mess up on stage. I've been practicing her voice all morning, so I don't need that much practice. And since I've had sooo much free time I even practiced her voice from the time she said "Heelllo London."

 -----SKIP TO LESSONS-----

"Welcome Natalie. Are you ready for your voice to make a complete transformation from your squeaky cat-like voice to outstanding and amazing Taylor?" I kept all of my anger inside of me. If Taylor didn't do that, the media would love to spread it all around. If I want Taylor to do the best that she can for me, then I will do the best for her.

"Sure go ahead and," I used air quotes, "transform me." When the singing coach heard my impression of Taylor's singing, she would be amazed.

"Okay, so for the tour, you'll be sing all songs from Red. Is that understood?" Goodness, she treats me like a CHILD. If I were really Taylor, I would start to do something about all of this crap.

     " Yes I understand it."

"Great, so let's take it from the top of State of Grace." The music started and I already memorized all of the lyrics to every song.

"I'm walking fast through the traffic li-"

"Woah, Woah, Woah! If you don't fix that pitch, I'll be walking fast out of here. And you can bet your butt that I'll be walking through those traffic lights to get away from you!" She sung it the "correct" way, but I'm sure I had every note perfectly. Oh how I wanted to punch her right in the face. Just breathe in and out slowly.

This reminds me of Taylor's song "Mean." I chuckle to myself. WAIT! I JUST MADE A CONNECTION TO TAYLOR'S MUSIC! EWW! I'm not supposed to like her music. I guess I just felt kind of like that me and Taylor really knew each other. We know all about the other's life, but nothing too personal.

"Natalie! Natalie! NATALIE!" I awoke from my trance!

"Oh I'm so sorry. It was an accident."

"Well if you are done daydreaming, then let's continue." The rest of the lessons weren't that bad. I just had to be Taylor, not Natalie. I actually learned things too and I'm glad I attended. After all, first impressions are always the worst.
