Winter in New England

Undisturbed blanket snow,
Pure white as angels robes.
Snow adrift creeking trees,
Twenty four inches at the knees.
Beautiful and painted white,
New England on a snowy night,
Children play on white landscapes,
Snowballs fly and sleds leave wake.
Shoveling proves hard yet fun,
Aided by the winter sun.
Digging out the car that's stuck,
Rock back and fourth and with some luck,
Maybe I can drive it out,
New Englanders know what I'm talking about.
A folding chair to mark the spot,
Your diligence and shovel got.
All in all I love the snow,
The beauty that is natures show.
