11. Chapter eleven "Different Faces"

I feel myself getting more alert. My head dizzy, knowing I won't be seeing the return of what I've called home for so long, well as long as I could remember anyway. My body feels so useless, I haven't really used it in five-years.

"Sara, can I see your iPhone for a second?" I hear a girl asking. Is Sara actually here? Had she found me that fast?

My voice hard to use, I call out her name. I open my tired eyes to see this young girl with brown hair, grey eyes, and cream colored skin with a huge smile spreading across her face.

"Oh my gosh, you're back!" The girl says as she wraps her arms around me, putting me in her careful hug.

"Where's Sara?" I ask, my voice dry, weak, tired.

"I am Sara." She says. I furrow my eyebrows.

"You're not Sara. Sara has red hair, your hair is brown. And she looked much older. What game are you trying to play with me?" I question. She looks mad.

"But I am Sara!"

"I don't believe you!"

"Then what IS my name?" She ask.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?" I say.

"Ugh I'm Sara!" She says with her high pitched voice.

"Now look at this, you's are already arguing?" The women with grey eyes under her glasses says. She grabs onto my hand, coming closer to plant a kiss on my cheek.

"But mom, he's being stubborn. The girl says. The woman waves the girl who claims to be Sara off. Her eyes start to tear up. She gives another smooch to my cheek. Things are kinda obvious.

"I though I would never hear your voice again." She says. If this is my... Mother, and that girl called her 'Mom' then she must be my sister.

"Can you tell me your name?" I request.

"Are you playing this game?" The girl who looks younger then my mother, older then my sister asks.

"No, what game would I be playing?" I ask.

"Ab, you knew that your brother wouldn't be all there." The man with light brown, short hair who is also wearing a polo-shirt says. He slouches closer to say, "Dylan, it's us, your family." I nod.

"What's your names?" The woman who I'm assuming is my mother puts her hand to her chest as she says, "I'm your mother, Caroline." She says.

"Bob." The man says. He stands up off his seat and comes to put me in a hug.

"So her names ab?" I ask.

"No that's your sister, Abigail." The Sara imposter says.. They all just stare at me.

"I really wish I could know you's but I don't." I apologize. This 'Caroline' comes closer to put her arm around me and plant a kiss on top of my head to say,

"I'm just so grateful to have my baby back." I hear her sniffling, I just feel so bad. I can't help but to feel like this is my fault. I feel like I could've just left from Oz when I first got there, but then I wouldn't have met Sara. That reminded me.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"In the hospital." The girl who claims she's Sara says.

"But where do we live?"

"Kansas." She says.

"We're in Kansas?" I ask in disbelief. "That's great!" That means Sara isn't as far as I thought she would be.

"Why're you so excited for Kansas? You know, not so long ago you hated it." Abigail says. I remember that they think that my memory loss is common. How will they feel once they find out it's not?
