1. How it all started

Skylar and Austin were on their way into the bowling alley for their one month anniversary. Skylar was shy, but she was very loyal to her boyfriend. Austin was very outgoing, which was the total opposite of Skylar. Austin could be pushy at times and not the perfect boyfriend, but Skylar made it work the best that she could.

As Skylar and Austin walked into the bowling alley, Skylar noticed a tall, curly-haired guy staring at her. When they met eyes, he smiled. She smiled a small one back, so it didnt look like she was flirting.

"Why dont you go get our bowling balls while I get some shoes?" said Austin. She nodded her head and went to the rack. As she was looking for balls, she noticed that guy staring at her again. He quickly looked away and smiled to himself. Skylar picked out a light blue, size nine ball for herself and a bright orange, size eleven ball for Austin. Somehow, she managed to carry both of them at the same time. The other guy saw her struggling and just as the orange ball was about to fall out of her hands, he caught it.

"You looked like you needed some help." he said. She noticed that his voice was deep and that he had large hands. He was even cuter than she thought, but then, she quickly thought of Austin. She responded with a sweet "Thank you" and headed towards lane number seven. "My name is Harry, by the way" he said. "Im Skylar" she replied. They stared at eachother until Austin came back. He looked at Harry weirdly, pushed him out of the way, and sat down. Harry went back to his lane in dissapointment.

"Where are my shoes?" asked Skylar, as nicely as possible. "You can get your own" he said, as rudely as possible. Just as she was about to go get her shoes, Austin said something. "Babe! You know how that color orange gets on my nerves!" he said, looking at his bowling ball in disgust. "And seriously? Eleven? Do you think im weak or something?" He walked off to get another ball as Skylar went to get some different shoes. When she came back, he has picked out a dark green, size thirteen ball.

As she went first, she was staring at the guy that had helped her. It distracted her and made a gutter ball. "HAHA!" Austin laughed "Nice try babe!" She shrugged it off and ignored him. He did that everytime she made a bad bowl. But everytime she got a strike, he would roll his eyes and say "Whatever".

When Austin won, he scream, hooted, and hollered. They made their way towards the door. He took Skylar's hands and she got chills. She didnt know if they were the good kind or the bad kind. She assumed that it was good and when it felt like the right moment, the words popped from her mouth. "I love you"

Austin looked back at her in awe, his mouth wide open. He didnt know what to say. He ran out of the bowling alley, leaving Skylar all by himself. She was so confused. One part of her was heart-broken, but the other part was full of anger. She balled her hands into fists, slid down the wall behind her, released her fists, and bursted out into tears. She wanted him to come back and hold her and tell her that he was only kidding, but everyone knew that wasnt going to happen.

All of a sudden, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She thought it was Austin's so she shrugged it off. She looked up and saw Harry. He stared into her eyes and said "I dont know exactly what happened, but I would never do anything to hurt you." After he said that, he leaned in to kiss her, but she backed away.

"Im sorry, that was to forward, I-" Skylar cut him off. "No it wasnt" she said smiling. He looked down with an embarrassing look on his face, but Skylar pulled his head back up and kissed him. Instantly, chills filled her body. But it wasnt the type that Austin gave her. It was the kind that warmed her heart and made her feel safe. Thats when she knew that he was the one.
