Starring One Direction

You've heard the story-girl meets boy, girl meets another boy, girl meets a third boy and has to choose between them, meanwhile dancing backup for their tour and having to deal with blackmailing manipulative psychos.
Okay, so maybe this isn't your typical story.
Emily is back, finally settled into her new life as Niall Horan's girlfriend.
She has it all: the guy she knows she loves, the best friend she can't live without, and a new movie on its way as she pursues her acting career.
But when Emily is confronted by her past, things get turned upside down.
Will her love with Niall stay strong, or will she be forced to leave behind everything she's come to know?

*A Threequel to "More Than One Direction" and "Choosing One Direction"*

13. Truly Madly Deeply

As I start to walk off the lot to go home, I see Jake approaching.
I try my best to avoid him, but I soon  find that he's inevitably blocking my path home.
I walk past him, but he gently grabs my arm and turns me around.
"What do you want, Jake?"
"I heard you and Niall broke up."
His grin seems to fill his face with mischief.
"No, that's not true."
"What makes you think you can talk to me?"
"Awh, babe, I know  we didn't end on the best terms."
"You cheated on me!"
"We were on a break."
"With my cousin, Jake! And it was not a 'see-other-people' break."
"That's all in the past, babe."
"But it still screwed me up, didn't it? Just leave me alone."
"Look, I know this movie is about you."
"Never mind that, but you can't blame me for your own indecisiveness."
"MY indecisiveness was because YOU made me all confused about how to feel for another human being."
"Whatever. So are we going on a date or not?"
"Are you kidding?"
He moves closer to me, his fingers dancing up and down my arm. I shiver and move away from him, flicking his hand away.
I try to turn around, but he grabs my arm and spins me back towards him.
"I'm trying here, Em."
"You should've tried a long time ago."
"I was confused, lost. You said you needed space. You're the one that broke things off."
"You didn't have to get with my cousin."
"It's not like we did anything. I thought we were over."
"We were," I say, trying to turn again, but he pulls me slowly towards him, holding my face in his hands.
"Please, give me a chance. I still care about you."
"Oh, and how's that?"
"Truly, madly, deeply, Emily, I really care for you."
