Karla is just a normal girl, living a normal life, with a normal family, with normal friends. At least that's the person you see when you walk in the hallways of Kingston high school. But she's not the person she looks like when you walk past her in the corridor. Her inside is filled with pain and guilt. Everything she can remember from when she was younger was the constant pain, and watching her mother beeing abused by her father. When she was 5 years old, he left. And even though her mom hated him, her brain told her that she still loved him. Ever since then her mother have been down, and it's all Karlas fault. If she just hadn't been born non of this would've happened. Her life is a gloom until one day when she bumps into a sweet canadian boy that'll change her life forever.

25. Straight to the heart

"Here." Justin handed me a club and we walked to the miniature golf lanes. We got to the first hole and Justin let me begin. There was a par on three. I shot the ball straight forward and we were both convinced that it would go in. But no. It stopped on very edge of the round hole. "No!" I bursted out. We both walked up to the hole and were thrilled that it hadn't gone in. "How is that not in? I mean it's like literally right on the edge." I pointed at the ball. "Well." I said a I gave it a final nudge so it dropped down. "At least I got a birdie. -1 for me." I said and span the club a lap around. Justin looked at the ground. When he looked up at me again he smiled. "You know we were here once, on our first date, and just that happened, and you said exactly those words." His smile faded as his mind went down memory lane. Why couldn't I remember? Why did I have to hit my head on that rock? Why did my so called father have to come back and ruin everything? It just wasn't fair. Suddenly I heard screams behind me. When I turned around I saw two pretty teenage girls pointing at us. A blonde and a brunette, about my age. Oh right, Justin Bieber. Almost forgot. They jogged over to us. "Hi." They said shyly. I waved slightly but they didn't seem to notice me. They just stared at Justin. "Hello." Justin said with a smile. "Are..." The blonde one said. "Are you really Justin Bieber?" Really? You just asked that? "I don't know, are you really beliebers?" He said and smiled cheekily. The girls actually jumped of excitement. The girls glanced at me with hateful looks, then back to Justin. "Can you come with me for just.... 1 minute? I want to show you something." The brunette said. Justin looked at me for approval. I nodded. "I can stay with you." The blonde said and 'smiled' at me. I 'smiled' back as the brunette and Justin walked away. "So are you tw-" "Listen you little prick." She interrupted me. Her eyes filled with hate. I stared at her. "You stay away from him, he is mine. All you've done is made things worse for him." I didn't say anything. She smiled. "Do you know how much everyone hates you? Nobody even likes you. You little orphan." Ouch, straight to the heart. I looked down at the ground. "Hey you listen to me when I'm talking to you!" She yelled, pulled my head up and slapped me over the face. I fell to the ground and held my hand on my hurting cheek. "You're weak aren't you." She said between her teeth and spit on me. She really spit on me. What is wrong with people? Jeez what had I ever done to her? She had no reason to spit on me. "Karla!" I heard Justin scream just when she kicked me in the stomach. The pain was unbearable. She had kicked me right on the stitches. In seconds Justin were in front me. Rage was written all over his face as he stood up and turned to the blonde, the brunette had joined up by her side, they were so careless. "What do you think you're doing!" He shouted. "What has she ever done to you?" He yelled. Faces turned to us. "You weren't here! She said she hated beliebers and that she was just using you!" WOW. Really? You're going to sink that low? "She doesn't even remember who I am anymore! Are you happy? How would she be using someone that she doesn't even know?" He was furious. I don't blame him really, if I was in his position I would be too. The blonde smiled. "Good, if she doesn't remember you then you can leave her and be with me." She said. "Are you listening to yourself! Just because she doesn't remember me doesn't mean I just forget about her! I love her. Not you, or anyone can change that!" That shut the girls up. When I looked around me everyone was looking at us, and taking pictures. The girls walked away, but with smiles on their faces. They didn't regret a thing. Justin turned around to me and helped me up on my feet. "Are you okay?" He asked concerned. I nodded, but my stomach still hurt pretty badly. "What did she want to show you?" I asked, trying to chance the topic. "Doesn't matter, let's just go home." Justin half carried me through the sea of people and paparazzi. The flashes blinded me. But at least I knew I was safe in his arms.
