Little Talks

"I don't like walking around this old and empty house."
~
"Are you sure about this Zayn?" I asked with my hands grasping over the railing, wind blowing through my hair. "Don't worry." He tells me. "I'm nervous as much as you. But these little talks don't last long."
My summer was basically ruined thanks to my mother. After high school graduation, she forced me to work on the cruiseline she owns instead of giving me a choice if I want to like my older sister. But the first day of the cruise, the first day I saw them being complete dumbos. That day I didn't know that I would love one of them. Zayn was right, these little talks don't last long.

40. Two more songs

"So what song are you singing tonight, Katie?" Richard asks.

I ponder through my thoughts, then remember a song that I still love. "I want to see 'Here's to Never Growing Up' by Avril Lavigne."

"Alright. You ready?" I nod.

And the song begins

"Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs,
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love.
I got a bottle of whatever, but it’s getting us drunk,
Singing here's to never growing up.
Call up all our friends
Go hard this weekend.
For no damn reason,
I don't think we'll ever change.
Meet you at the spot,
Half past ten o'clock.
We don't ever stop,
And we're never gonna change.
Say, oh just say forever, stay.
If you stay forever, hey,
We can stay forever young.
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs,
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love.
I got a bottle of whatever, but it’s getting us drunk,
Singing here's to never growing up.
We'll be running down the street, yelling kiss my ass.
I'm like yeah whatever, we're still living like that.
When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah here's to never growing up.
We live like rock stars,
Dance on every bar,
This is who we are,
I don't think we'll ever change.
They say just grow up, but they don't know us.
We don't give a f**k, and we're never gonna change.
We'll be running down the street, yelling kiss my ass,
I'm like yeah whatever, we're still living like that,
When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah here's to never growing up.
Say, won't you stay forever stay.
If you stay forever hey,
We can stay forever young.
Ohhhhhhh
Singing Radiohead at the top of our lungs,
With the boom box blaring as we're falling in love,
I got a bottle of whatever, but it’s getting us drunk,
Singing here's to never growing up.
We'll be running down the street, yelling kiss my ass,

When the sun's going down, we'll be raising our cups
Singing here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah here's to never growing up.
Oh woah oh woah ( raise your glass and say )
Here's to never growing up."

I finish strong. That was the best I've sang in forever. I step off the stage and sit next to Britta.

"Katie, you did amazing!" She compliments. Which I rarely get from her considering the fact that we're sisters.

"Thanks." I reply with a smile. We are coming closer than we've ever been before in a long time.

"Up next..." Richard pauses to pull a name out of the hat. "Representing the girls, Sereen!"

<Sereen POV>

Perrie pats my back as I go up to the stage.

I know my cousin is the Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, but I don't know if I'm as good as her. I've never really sang before.

I step onto the stage and stand in front of the microphone.

"Okay, Sereen, what song will you sing?"

I had some help from Elizabeth on this one. "I'm going to sing 'Crazy Kids' by Ke$ha."

"Okay, I think I should have brought the glitter." Richard jokes and the entire club laughs. He looks up the song and then it starts.

Oh, I hope I do good. I thought.

"Hello, wherever you are
Are you dancing on the dance floor or drinking by the bar?
Tonight we do it big, and shine like stars
And we don't give a what 'cause that's just who we are
And we are, we are, we are, we are, we are
The crazy kids, them crazy, them crazy kids
And we are, we are, we are, we are, we are
The crazy kids, we are the
We are the crazy people
I see ya in the club showin' Ke$ha love
Ain't trippin' on them them them that be hatin'
Catch a dub, chuckin' deuces
Ya'll hatin's useless
It's such a nuisance
Ya'll chickens keep your two cents
And keep your dollars, keep your loot
I'm fresher than that Gucci
Them boys, they want my coochie
I say no, I'm no hoochie
Your home girl hatin', I say who she?
Ke$ha don't give two fucks
I came to start that ruckus
And ya wanna party with us
'Cause we crazy crazy crazy crazy
Hello, wherever you are
Are you dancing on the dance floor or drinking by the bar?
Tonight we do it big, and shine like stars
And we don't give a what 'cause that's just who we are
And we are, we are, we are, we are, we are
The crazy kids, them crazy, them crazy kids
And we are, we are, we are, we are, we are
The crazy kids, we are the
We are the crazy people
You see us in the place trippin' off the bass

Like an earthquake, like an earthquake
Booty pop
All my shorties on the dance floor, make your hearts stop
Stop your Cardiac
Sippin' Cognac in the back
Th-they ch-chasing my kitty cat
They know my zodiac
I'm no virgin or no Virgo
I'm crazy, that's my word doe
It's Ke$ha in the casa, baby
L-let's g-get loco.
Hello, wherever you are.

Everyone started to clap. Oh my gosh, I did better than I thought. I set the mic down and go back to my seat. "I knew I should have brought the glitter!" Another glitter reference from Richard. I roll my eyes.

I wonder who's going next. I haven't heard one of the boy's names yet. Richard pulls his hand out of the hat. "Up next, kicking things off tonight for the boys, Liam!"

A/N: Hey! So first, thanks to Elizabeth ( elizabeth_tommo_ ) for helping me pick out the songs that will be used. She thought of "Lucky" for the last chapter (which is now my favorite song) and some of the other songs.

Second, I made an 8track account and made a playlist of songs that I thought would work with the story. So if you want to listen, my user is questionwasasked. I have two mixes currently. One for this story and the other for "Pretend It's Love" (my other story).

It is currently 1 am where I'm at. So thanks for reading and have a nice Monday. Or if you live across the Atlantic or anywhere else, hope your week is starting off good!
