Forever And Always

Harry and Jackie were best friends. They fell for each other during their high school years. Yeah, I know, typical love story. But as soon as Jackie got into her music career, she was forced to move to Los Angeles. Harry wasn't very pleased with the idea, but he had to go with it. As the years pass, both Harry and Jackie are famous musicians. They meet at an awards show but don't remember each other. Will they ever remember that they were high school sweethearts long ago when they were both 16?

1. Prologue

(A/N): I know what you're thinking.. Why are you making a new story when you haven't even finished any one of your others? Blame my inspiration. This came to my mind by listening to Summer Love by One Direction. Hope you enjoy this. It took a few minutes just to write this. I'm so awesome. Lolno. Have fun reading! c:

Harry’s POV

I stared down at the concrete and put on a fake smile as a tear dared to fall out of my eyes. I quickly whipped it with my index finger and looked back up at the person in front of me. “Hope you have fun in Los Angeles.”

She smiled weakly at me as I said those words. They probably weren’t the particular words she was planning on hearing from me. Maybe it was an “I’ll miss you” or “I love you” that she wanted. It just wasn’t the words that were easy for me to say. “I will,” she whispered, looking at her fingers as she played around with the small hangnail on her middle finger’s nail.

These were defiantly not the words I expected to come out of her. I was expecting her to yell at me, telling me that I don’t care that she’s leaving. But she just said a simple, “I will.” A lie.

“Well, you better be off. You’re mom won’t be exactly happy if you’re not in the car in time,” I joked, fake laughing. Trying to lighten the mood has never been something I’m good at. I always end up making a stupid joke or just laugh awkwardly, making the situation more awkward or even more upsetting.

“You’re right,” she muttered before grabbing the handle to her luggage. She stared into my eyes for a while, biting down on her lower lip. I saw the tears fill up in her eyes. The sight made my eyes tear up, but I tried to blink them away.

She just nodded, not saying a word, before turning around and walking slowly to the front door that was only a few feet away from us. I reached my hand out to grab her arm, but I was too weak to even try. My voice was shaky as I tried to say those simple words she was waiting for.

“I love you.”

She turned her head to me. A small smile was on her lips, making me feel warm inside. “I love you, too.”

We both heard a honk from outside. Her mother must be getting very impatient now. She whipped a few of her tears before turning back around. As the door flung open, the cold winter air poured inside my warm house. The snow flying down from the sky started flying into our faces.

She faced me for the last time. I examined her face for a few seconds. I saw how the small snow particles fell on her shiny black hair, the way her dimples popped out when she smiled slightly, and the way her eyes were filled with sadness. Then she turned away and hurried to the car just outside of my house. I stood by the doorway as she climbed into the car.

I waved as the car drove away. I watched it go into the small area where I couldn’t see a thing. The tears finally fell from my eyes, going all the way down to my neck. I didn’t wipe them away, I kept them there for some reason. Maybe it’s because I didn’t care. Yeah, that’s it. I quickly stepped away from the door and closed it.

I shook my head as all of the snow fell from my curly hair. I crossed my arms across my chest to warm myself. The fire from inside of the living room would warm me better. I walked over to the fire and sat beside it. The tears in my eyes started building again. I just can’t believe she’s gone.

The one I love.. Gone.
