Erase My Memories

You would think Bethany is a typical American teen girl, until she attempts suicide. She spends a couple months in a psych ward, and when she is let out, her parents send her to live with her mom's best friend in London, who just happens to have a son her age, Niall Horan. The two become very close friends, but when Bethany gets to know Niall's best friend, Harry Styles...Bethany starts to grow attached, much to her horror. And much more, Harry too has quite the past. Can the two over-look the past and present problems, or will life itself destroy their relationship?

30. Chapter 29

“Hey Craig…” I said to Bethany’s father.

“Hey, how is she?”

“She’s getting there. I planned on keeping her a little longer and see how it all goes around.”

“How much longer are we thinking?”

“I’m going to say a couple more months. School starts in about a month; I’m going to have her go for about a month than if she’s doing well, I’ll send her back to you.”

“That sounds great. Has she done anything about her cutting, drug, and alcohol problems?”

“I haven’t seen any scars, I don’t know about drug, but she has come home drunk only once.”

“That’s better than it used to be.”

“I assumed it would be. She’s doing well.”

“What about all the money she has? Does anyone know why she’s there?”

“The money has been used towards bail.”

“Her own?!”

“No, Harry Styles. And I know my son is onto her about why she’s here. Speaking of my son, Niall and Bethany are together now.”

“I see; well Niall’s always been a good boy. I don’t see a problem there.”

“I’ll keep you updated with her but right now I’m thinking a couple more months for her.”

“Sounds great; thanks again Maura.”

“No problem. How is Cami?”

“She’s…she’s doing alright.” Craig sounded hurt and I was worried. “Did you tell Bethany?”

“No…I don’t know how to.”

“That’s alright. I have to go now; she has an appointment at the hospital.”

“Okay, I hope all goes well.”

“Me too Maura…me too.” I hung up the phone and sighed. I walked over to the kitchen window and saw Niall and Bethany lying in the grass, looking up at the clouds. I smiled a painful smile. I really didn’t want to let her go home, but what choice did I have?
