Alea needed to get away. Her mother had just died in a car crash and her father was always drunk. Her brother was the only thing she had until he went off to college. One night Alea came home to her dad drunk and he kicked her out. She's on the streets alone. What will happen when it is pouring rain and five boys, one direction, see her on a park bench?

19. Chapter 14: Leap of Faith

Alea's POV

It's been a couple weeks since the whole jailbreak thing, and honestly it's been pretty calm. Liam is basically locking me in the house, so Louis and I have movie days a lot lately. Which means cuddle time! Harry and I still fight,  but not as much. We've actually been avoiding each other, but sometimes all six of us sit in the Living room to "test the waters," as Liam says. I've only hit him with a baseball bat twice... this week. And it's Wednesday. But hey! It's a breakthrough, if you ask me.

We were currently sitting in the Living room. It was me, Louis, Zayn, and Niall. Liam and Harry went shopping for food. I hated what we were watching so I went up to my room. I was peacefully sitting on my bed on Twitter when I heard yelling coming from downstairs.  I was going to investigate... but I was feeling really lazy. Hey, Liam doesn't let me go out of the house, so being lazy is a good thing. The screaming got louder, so I could make out words. "Zayn, she doesn't belong here." Harry was shouting, I could hear his annoying voice from a mile away. "She will just tear us down. She is the most annoying thing ever! How can you stand her?" Oh I see how it is. He's probably shouting so I'll hear and want to leave. I totally would go down there, give him a piece of my mind, a storm out. But, as I said, Liam won't let me leave. So it would have been really awkward. Maybe I could bust out. I've done it a million times with my dad. And it's only...three stories up. Damn. Well then I guess I'm going in fighting. Eh, maybe in a few hours. Twitter was getting boring so i put it on the nightstand. Feeling my eyes getting droopy, I heard one last thing before I blacked out. "I just wish she was dead!"

Feeling like crap, I looked at my alarm clock. It read 3:00 in it's bright red letter. No wonder I was starving, I hadn't eaten in three whole hours! Creepily opening my door a crack to search for people, I found none. Relieved, I stepped out into the hallway. Making my way downstairs I stopped by Harry's room to find him sleeping on his perfectly made bed. Walking to the next room, Liam was also asleep. I soon found that all of the boys were asleep. I can make my escape! I just want to go to Nando's! I quietly made my way downstairs to find the spare key. Of course, it was in a fruit bowl. Heading out the door, I finally felt free.

But hiding beneath me, I was scared. No, I was petrified. Anyone could take me away out here, and I probably couldn't do anything about it. Pushing my fears aside, I took a leap of faith.
