28. Picking

*Sophie's POV*

I find myself staring at him. Is he serious?

"Are you kidding me?" I ask. "How could you ask me something like that?" I ask.

"We both love you, you love both of us, it's up to you. We just want you to be happy."

"GET OUT." I yell.

"What?" They both ask.

"I SAID GET OUT." I yell. The doctor runs in, because my heart beat thingy went off, because I got to worked up.

They left the room when she walked in and over to me turning the machine off and asking if I was alright. I was fine. How could they ask me such a thing when I am in this state. They knew this would happen if I was vulnerable. But they were also right, I do love them both. Uhhhhggg, why does life have to be so hard. Over the course of the day I try to think of who I was going to pick, if they wanted an answer so bad.

I ponder. I was in love with Louis when we were younger. I love Harry now, but what I don't know was if I really ever loved Harry like I loved Louis. I mean I know we were young when we fell in love, me and Louis, but that doesn't mean it wasn't real. Right? I decided I wanted to talk to both of them personally. I call Louis' phone.

"Hello?" He answers.

"Come into my room." I say.

He hangs up the phone quickly after, opens the door and comes over to me.

"What is it, love?" He asks.

"Was our love real?" I ask.

"Was our love real? Did you really love me or were you like every other teenage boy who just wanted me but not like..." I pause, almost not knowing how to explain it. He interrupts my thought process.

"Soph, I have loved you since day one. To be honest..." He pauses for a minute.

"To be honest what?" I ask, urging him to finish.

"I...was actually going to ask you to marry me that summer."

I look at him, my lips now parted. "Y-you were?" I ask. He just nods.

I look at him start to tear up, then he starts to mumble to himself as he paces around the room. "None of this ever would have happened, if we would have never gone to that stupid party. None of this would have happened." He kept repeating. "You would still be mine, we could be the ones getting married, we could be happy. So happy, crazy in love." He says starting to cry.

"Louis, it's not your fault." I say quietly as he keeps pacing, but he just keeps pacing and mumbling.

"Louis, it's not your fault." I repeat. Yet, he just keeps pacing and mumbling.

I get up out of bed, which is actually really hard, and walk over to him. The thing starts to beat, but I don't care. I walk up to him and hug him. "Louis. It's. Not. Your. Fault."  I say slowly. I had finally figured out that we were in love, really. Really in love. "Louis, I love you. I pick you." I say. I know it might be crazy, I know I may be ruining what I already have, but I don't care at this point. Me and Harry can just be friends. We can be really good friends, but I want my Louis.

The doctors burst in. "Mrs. Brown, what are you doing out of bed? You have to lay back down. You're going to injure yourself." That reminds me how bad my back hurts. I fall a little and Louis picks me up, carrying me back to my bed.

"Sorry doctors." He says after they finish fixing everything and leaving.

When we are alone again, he looks back to me. "Are you sure?"

"Am I sure what?" I ask.

"Are you sure you want to deal with me as a husband?"

"I am sure, and who said I was going to be your wife?" I ask.

He gets down on one knee. "Sophie Brown, will you marry me?"

I smile. "Yes, I will."

"Are you sure this is what you want?" He asks again.

"Yes, Louis, I am sure."

"Ok, well, I have one more question?"

"Yeah and what is that?" I ask.

"Are you sure you want to take care of three kids."

"Three?" I ask. "I thought it was just Alex and the new baby."

He chuckles. "Yeah, but then you got me."

I laugh. "I do have you don't I? Well, I can take care of that." I say.

"Good, then it's settled." Now how are we going to break it to Harry. "By the way, is the baby a girl or a boy?" He asks me.

I smile. "You now have two baby girls." I say. He smiles.

"What do you want to name her?" He asks.

"I think...I think, Rose."

"Rose it is. That's a lovely name." He says. I laugh at his girly term of the word lovely.

I had a feeling this was going to be a great start with us again.
