This Love is Real

The whole way to the hospital was sad silence. I was freaking out. My girlfriend, my beautiful Lauren had been shot in the leg twice. Who would do that?! What would cause someone to threaten Lauren's life?!
Being in the waiting room was hell. I knew they weren't going to let me into the intensive care unit where Lauren was but I had to at least try.
I walked up to the nearest nurse.
" Can I see Lauren please? She's my girlfriend."
" I'm sorry, sir. She's in intensive care. I'll get the head doctor for you. He'll explain what is happening right now."
I thanked the nurse and sat down.
Harry was on twitter, but still looked like he was going to throw up.

He gave me a sympathetic smile.
" Don't worry, Liam. She will be fine."
Easy for him to say. The memory of the love of his life's look on her face when in extreme pain wasn't flashing before his eyes.
