2. Questioning

I shuffled through the school trying to get through the thick clouds of people without hitting my stomach on something or someone which was harder than it looked. I held my stomach with my arms and kept my head down. The people in my school weren't the nicest about me being pregnant and gave them more of a reason to hate on me. People like Bay and Riley. They may be form different social circles but they still prayed on the weak.
It was just one more day until the weekend. Friday has always been my saving day but ever sine I found out, it's mean a lot more than that. All week, I have peeled off sticky notes from my locker saying how much of a tramp I am. Quinn hasn't even gotten this much attention since she had her pregnant scare. But with her luck, it was just a scare. I wasn't so lucky.
I was expecting another sticky note on my locker but instead, a person stood there. Today she wore skinny jeans, a white V-neck shirt with a pink tank top, and brown boots. It was Quinn. Her long hair was pulled back in a messy bun and her makeup was caked on her face like normal. When she saw me, a smile appeared on her face.
"Hey Penelope!" She said with a big smile. She inched over a little but so I could get into my locker. I didn't say anything to her until I opened my locker. I stuffed my books in then looked up at her.
"Hi Quinn? Um. If you are wondering, group is every Thursday." I said then stuffed more of my stuff in the locker.
Quinn laughed, "Darling, I know when group is. I'm just here to talk to you!"
I stopped in my tracks then gave her a questioning look, "Why would you want to talk to me?"
"I know I'm not the best person to be hanging out with but I really need some friends, like real friend Penelope and I think we could be really good friends even outside of group. What do you think?"
My mouth dropped. Quinn wanted to be friends with me? I wasn't popular at all but I wasn't a wallflower either. I had three really good friends then I just was nice to everybody else. But Quinn. She was popular, not like Riley, but pretty close. She was right though, the friends she called her friends weren't. They acted so nice to her but then they were so mean to her behind her back.
"Umm okay?" I said in more of a questioning tone.
She jumped up and down and scream, "Yay! This is going to be so much fun! So I've been wanting to ask you, d you have any names picked out?" She slammed my locker shut then hooked my arm with hers.
One perk so far of being her friend: everyone moved out her way. I didn't have to worry about bumping into anyone. A little smile crossed my face then I remembered the question. Baby names.
"Yeah, I've thought about it but I don't even know if I'm keeping her."
Quinn chewed on the thought, "You think its going to be a girl?"
I nodded, "I don't know. I guess."
"Back to names! Tell me!" She giggled.
"Well. If its a girl I want her name to be Lyric-Aline or Ever Rose. If its a boy I like the names Matthew or Logan." I said in almost a whisper.
Everyone was staring at us. It just hit me all of a sudden. Everyone was looking at us as we practically skipped down the hall. Then my eyes met with Luke's. he looked good today. His brown hair was damp and draped over his light brown eyes. He was wearing a light blue sweater with nice jeans that made him look more muscular. He looked at me for a long time then turned around. Marcy Lake walked up to him with her big air head and started her flirting. Whenever she did that, he would always politely tell her he was taken then walk away but he didn't this time. He closed the locker and leaned up on it. He crossed his arms and started to laugh at whatever dumb thing she said. What was he doing?
Quinn seemed to notice it too but before I could realize what she was doing, she unhooked are arms then trotted over to him. I couldn't hear a word she was saying over the thunder of many other conversations but I could tell that she was giving it to him and her. I small smile crossed my lips. Maybe being Quinn's friend wasn't going to be such a bad thing. But then what did that mean for Luke and me? I pondered the thought but I didn't have enough time to think about it before Quinn came back with Luke at her heels.
She placed him in front of me and said, "You better fix this now Luke. I will talk to you later Pen!" I watched as she swayed away then I looked up at Luke. His full lips were in a straight line which meant he had a lot on his mind.
"Let's talk..." He said.
