Chapter two.

    Alexander’s P.O.V.

Carrying her small form I looked down at her beautiful face and sighed. Why must she be so afraid, I guess I understood thou. I was after all mocking her while she was afraid. Brushing a piece of her mahogany colored hair out of her face I placed a kiss to her forehead. Making my way inside my house I was greeted by my staff. Receiving looks of pride and some of fear I walked to my room. Gently placing her on my bed I called Mason he came within a moment after I called.

“ Can I help you sir?” he addressed me formally bowing slightly.

“Yes, send someone to fetch her things that were left by the creek, send in a maid to clean and dress her injuries I do not think she would appreciate it if I did so myself. Lastly inform father, that-that I found her.” Nodding he left with his orders. A few moments later a maid walked in and did exactly as I asked. Walking out of the room to give her some privacy I sauntered to my study.

Clearing his throat announcing his arrival I looked up at my father. His graying hair showing how stressful his job truly was.

“ So, you found her?” he said gravely. I nodded solemnly looking him in the eyes.

“ You know what must be done?”

    “Yes father, I do.”

“Good, and you remember no matter what happens if you don’t kill her, I will. You know what happened to your mother.” He reminded me tears filling his eyes.  Storming out of the room he closed the door behind him leaving me to my thoughts. Placing my head on the cool desk I shut my eyes. How was I to do this? How could my ancestors force us to do this? Its times like this I wish I was truly human.
