    Chapter thirty

    Alexander’s P.O.V

Wrapping his hands around my neck I slowly felt the need for air in my lungs, these people foolishly thought that I knew where Calista was. I didn’t and even if I did I would never tell them.

“We know you can find out where she is Alexander, you can use your bond.” He spat. “If you find her we promise not to kill the baby.” He lied. Growling through clenched teeth I took what breath I had to say, “I will never tell you where she is.” After punching me in the face my father walked down the stairs.

“That’s enough guys I can handle my son from now on.”

    “Dad?!” I questioned threw coughs.

“Well now son you didn’t think that they planned all this alone now did you? That girl needs to die, she’s unnatural. After the babies are born she will die, depending on how you corporate will depend on how fast she does die.”

“What do you want.” I spat glaring daggers at him.

“I thought that was obvious, I want her dead, or I want her with someone of her own kind. You're not meant to be together, its bad enough you got that bitch pregnant but now you love her.” He mocked. “She will die or she will marry Amir, its your choice son. Your marriage or the love of your life.” With those final words he left me alone in the cell. Why was he doing this? How could he! Wait.. Did he say babies?

    Amir P.O.V

Looking down at Calista we saw bruises form on her pale neck, her breath became short and her heart beat quickened. Quickly lifting her up I followed the Doctor to a white room. Placing her down on the bed the doctor hooked her up to the monitors, while Gabriel hooked the babies up to another monitor. Grasping her hand I looked at her and then to the doctor.

    “What happened?”

“My best guess is that her Mate is being hurt and that its effecting her. All this stress isn’t good on the babies.” The doctor admitted looking worried. Gabriel quickly got up and ran back to the main hall of the castle.

“Where are you going?” I yelled after him.

“To get my father, maybe he knows something we can do to get rid of the ill effects from the bond.” He yelled back. Nodding I solemnly stared at Calista and at the monitor that had the babies heart beat. Gently moving a few strands of hair away from her face the doctor gave me an odd look.

“What are you looking at.” I growled.

“You care for her don’t you?” She questioned.

“Yes. Yes I do.” Nodding the doctor continued to check Calista’s vitals.

    Calista P.O.V

Suddenly I was in a cave, one moment I was falling to the floor in the check up room and the next I was in a cave and in the corner was a battered and beaten Alex.

“Alex?!” I screamed he couldn’t hear me. “Alex come on!” I screamed. Running over to him I placed my hand on his cheek. He flinched and looked around with fear in his eyes.

    “Wh-who's there?” he questioned.

“Alex baby its me, Calista. Why cant you see me?” I questioned tears starting to fall down my face. Placing a kiss on his cheek his face slowly turned into a smile.

    “Calista, is that you?”

“Yes baby its me.” I took his hand into mine.

“Sweetie you have to listen to me okay, this is important, he-” suddenly I was in a hospital room. The steady sound of the monitor was in the background along with the heartbeat of my babies. My eyes fluttered opened, looking around I saw Amir with my hand in his looking down at me.

“What happened?” I asked trying to pull out the iv.

    “You fainted.”

“Then why does my neck hurt?”

“We think it’s because Alexander was hurt so because of the bond you suffered some of his effects.” Nodding I didn’t want to let them know I had seen him, I don’t even know if it actually happened. What If it was a dream? Or worse what if it actually happened.

    “Where’s Gabriel?” I asked.

“I am right here sister dear.” He said walking into the room with our father behind him.

“Are you alright?” My father asked taking a seat next to Amir.

“Uh I think so.” I answered pulling out the iv they all gave me a look. “ What?”

“You should have left it in there sister.” Gabriel said crossing his arms.

“Oh calm down over protective brother, I’m fine and I don’t want some needle in my hand.” I said shooting daggers at all the men in the room. Holding their hands up in mock surrender I smiled and started to get up. All three of them quickly got up and grabbed my arm helping me to my feet.

“My god I can get up on my own. Save the helping for when I cant get up.” I laughed unhooking the monitors and walking out of the room.

“Where do you think your going?” The doctor called after me.

    “I am leaving.”

“And who said you could leave?” Raising an eyebrow I put a hand on my hip looking at her while the boys walked in after me.

“I said I could leave.” The boys all looked at one another and then the doctor.

“Well I said you cannot. You need to have your babies monitored closely to make sure your episode didn’t affect them badly.” She came over and forcefully but gently lead me back to the room and making me lay on the bed. Huffing I crossed my arms as she placed the monitor back on my stomach.

“Well Calista, we can all see you hate doctors but lets make a compromise shall we?” Amir suggested.

    “Like what?”

“ If you stay here for another half hour you don’t have to come back until the babies are born, but you have to promise to allow the doctor to come by once a week to check on the babies, and you cannot be alone on castle grounds.”

“Deal.” I smiled happy I didn’t have to get stuck with any more iv’s or shots.

“Great, now lets let the nice doctor check on the babies, give you your medicine and an ultrasound picture.” Nodding my head I laid back and allowed the doctor to do what she needed to do.

At dinner we all sat quietly while we ate, I looked down at my food moving it around my plate not very hungry. I was so worried about Alex, this bruise on my neck was proof that he was hurt.

“Calista dear why aren’t you eating?” My father inquired.

    “Not very hungry.” I answered.

“Would you like something else to eat?” Gabriel questioned.

    “No.”

“What about a distraction. What about a walk threw the garden?” Amir offered. Not wanting to talk anymore I placed the satin napkin on the table and started to walk outside. The cool night air greeted my bear face sending a chill down my spine. The air smelled of rain and flowers mingled together. Sitting down on a rock I looked down at the ground willing flowers to grow.

    “Calista.” Amir sighed.

    “Yes?”

“I know you're worried about Alexander, but he’s a big boy he can take care of himself. Plus he has one important thing that no one else has.”

“What’s that?” Walking to me he sat down on the rock beside me.

    “He has you.”

    Thayer’s P.O.V (Alexander’s father)

“Something has to be done about this Thayer, you harming your son is hurting my daughter!” The Fae king yelled.

“Well how do you expect me to get Alexander to give Calista up without hurting him?” I inquired.

    “ I have a plan, we're going to need a witch though”

    “I’m listening.” I said with a smirk.
