Chapter twenty seven

    Calista P.O.V

Running threw the forest I fell to the ground barely able to see anything in the light of daybreak. I had been running and flying all day and night. Sitting on a rock I looked at the sun rising, I had no idea where I was.

“Were going to be okay.” I said to the unborn baby I was carrying. “I promise.”

“Well I’m glad to hear that princess.” Said a familiar voice. Turning around my eyes met with a pair of black ones. Quickly backing up my breath quickened setting the forest on fire. “Now now now, is there any need for fire?” Amir stalked closer to me. “I’m only here to help.”

“Why should I trust you?” I spat.

“Because Alexander’s father called me, told me to find you and bring you home where you belong.”

“He wouldn’t do that. Why would he do that? My father wants me dead and you want me as your wife. Well news flash here fairy boy I’m married to the love of my life and there is nothing you can do to change that.”

“Not even make sure your baby is kept alive?”

“I will keep MY baby alive.” I said with confidence, feeling the flames on my skin I made it rain long enough to put out.

“Well little princess looks like they have taught you some tricks.” He said amused. “Look, come home Calista, to your home. Your people, we will take care of you. The longer you stay I assure you, you will realize who the better person is to be with. Your father has already agreed to welcome you home with open arms, your brother is very eager to become an uncle. Please come home, let us take care of you.” He said offering his hand. Looking down at my baby I knew this was the right choice for it. But was it the right choice for me? I thought as I placed my hand in his watching his lips turn into a triumphant smirk.

    Alexander’s P.O.V.

My wrists burned, I pulling so hard that the chains were now embedded into my skin I snarled showing my teeth. Looking the council member in the eye I spit in his face.

    “You will never find her.”

“Now my dear boy that is where you are wrong. We will find her, we will kill her, but not until the baby is born.” He said wiping the spit from his face with an eerie calmness. “And when we do find her, we will drain the life from your baby making both of you watch, we will make you watch as we kill her, and then we will make sure it is burned into your mind so it’s the only thing you will see as you rot in this cell for eternity.” He looked me in the eyes, his gleaming with an hidden amount of evil. “Now how do you like that idea?” His lips turned into a curl smile as he slowly shut the door leaving me in complete darkness.
