    Part Two: The Truth Unravels

        Chapter Twenty three

        Calista’s P.O.V

Boarding the plane I was sad to say goodbye to this place. Alex had taken me to Ireland, he had known I always wanted to go. He rented a room in a castle it was so beautiful, the room overlooked the rolling hills I could feel the magic vibrating off this place in thick undisturbed waves. While I was sad to see it go I was happy to be able to talk to Lilly and tell her every last detail of the honeymoon. Blushing as I thought, well not every last detail.

“What are you thinking about love?” Alex inquired in a gentle tone while holding my hand.

“How I don’t want to leave this place.” I admitted sadly looking out the window as the plane took off.

“We will come back. Maybe for our anniversary next year.” Nodding I looked up at him and smiled.

“Good.” I said holding onto his arm and laying my head on his shoulder. We both let out a content sigh and drifted off to sleep.

“Miss, Sir, I’m sorry to wake you but we have landed.” A young lady no older than me said gently waking us up with slight fear.

“Oh crap, Alex wake up!” I said nudging him awake and saying a quick thank you to the lady. Running out of first class I ran off the plane only to see a very happy Lilly sprinting at me full speed, we both fell to the ground in hugging and laughing.

“Oh come on you two you will have plenty of time to talk, I would like to hug my little sister.” Kyle said with a huge smile on his face, laughing I jumped up and hugged him leaving Lilly pouting on the floor.  After hugging all of them we piled into the car our suit cases already in the trunk, driving past the castle I gave Amelia a warning look.

“Okay what’s going on here?” I said with one eyebrow raised.

“Oh nothing, just a little surprise is all.” She said innocently. Looking at all of them they were all smiling like fools, well I guess the only way to find out is to see where they are taking us.

After a few moments we drove up a long driveway only to see a huge house. Running out of the car I ran inside. The house had six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a huge kitchen, a rec room, a reading room, a workout room, an outdoor pool and hot tub. As I walked outside I saw that their was a garden, in the garden there was every type of flower imaginable. Butterfly’s swarmed around the garden as the soothing sound of the fountain greeted my ears. In the back was a single lilac tree and a brown bench, on the bench was a single plaque that read  “In loving memory of Ann Marie Vannwhite.” Slowly tears began to run down my face looking up I hugged Amelia.

“Thank you so much.” I said into her shoulder.

“Oh you are quite welcome. This way you will be closer to us, you're on Castle property but far enough away you two will have your own space.”

“Its perfect.” I said while releasing her from my hug and walking over to Alex.

“Thank you Mom its wonderful.” He smiled and held my hand in his. They all walked away and left us to roam our new house. All of our clothes have been placed in the master bed room as well as all of our photos, our wedding album and the paintings I did for Alex were hung on the wall. The house was truly perfect. After a while I made dinner and we sat outside on the patio watching the sun set. The way the light rippled through the trees reminded me of the picnic we had in the woods back in Ireland.

“Come on! Slow down!” Alex exclaimed smiling at my eagerness to go into the woods. My wings reflected the light from the sun making small sparkles appear on the ground. Laughing I finally stopped at a clearing and sat down. Alex quietly crept up behind me placing his hands over my eyes he leaned close to my ear.

“Close your eyes.” He whispered. I obliged  as he removed his hands from my face. Taking my hand I felt him slip something cold onto my finger.

“Now you can open.” Looking down at my hand I had opened my eyes and saw a thin white gold ring with a Celtic symbol of love etched into the sides and in the middle rested and diamond cut emeralds. The ring rested right above my wedding band and seemed to fit perfectly with the other two rings that had taken residence their. “Now you have something to always remind you of our honeymoon.” He admitted with a devilish smile.

“I don’t think I would have ever forgotten it anyways.”

Smiling I looked down at the grass. Suddenly I had a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach. Running into the house I quickly ran into the bathroom emptying the contents of my stomach into the toilet. Soon after Alex came in running after me worry etched into his face. Flushing the toilet he walked me upstairs to our room, my face had grown ash pale and my eyes slightly red. Turing on the shower he told me he was going to clean up dinner and would be right back. Looking at myself in the mirror I lightly placed my hand on my stomach. No, I thought. That’s impossible. Brushing of the idea I striped walking into the shower allowing the warm water to run down my body instantly making me feel calmer.
