56. Glad You're Safe

Lili's POV

I gasped. I heard him chuckle as I felt the gun press against my right side. He got a bit closer to me so the gun would stay hidden. The arm that wasn't holding the gun, was wrapped around my body, pinning my left arm to my body while my right was stuck in the middle of my body and his.

"Shh..." he said into my ear. "Don't draw attention to us or I pull the trigger," he whispered in my ear again. His hot breath in my ear sent a shiver down my spine.

"I thought yoou said you wouldn't be the posessive ex boyfriend?" I questioned. He simply chuckled again. I took a deep breath in.

"Yeah... And you told your friends that Logan was Quinn's brother," he told me. I was taken back a bit. How did he know about this? "We lie," he breathed. I could smell the alcohol lingering off his breath. I wanted to gag.

"You're drunk," I told him. He laughed.

"And you're hot," he told me. I gagged. His grip got tighter around me. It was hurting me as well. I can't believe no one noticed this. Well, there aren't that many people in here. I heard the cafe doors open but I couldn't see who it was.

"Lili?" I heard a familiar voice call out. I froze. It couldn't be... "Lili!" he called again. He sounded a bit more happy when he called me a second time. I tried to turn around but George only put me in a tighter grip. I let out a small whimper. I heard footsteps nearing us. George had an even tighter grip on me. I could feel some bruising starting and the gun was jabbing into me, probably going to bruise there as well. I looked down at the tiled floor. The footsteps stopped and I was scared to look up. But I did...

"L-Louis?!" I asked shocked. My borther stood in front of us with a slight smile on his face. Why was he smiling?

"You must be George," he smiled and held out his hand for him to shake. George looked at his hand in disgust. He growled and Louis awkwardly pulled his hand back. "Well then... So what's new Geoge?" my twin asked like he was one of his best mates.

"Nothing," he smirked then kissed my cheek. I gave a bit of a disgusted face and George noticed. His grip got even tighter. I feel like he was going to snap me in half. Louis just looked at us. Is he clueless?!

"Nothing?" Louis questioned. George rolled his eyes and in a quick flash... His lips met mine... I was taken back. I tried to squirm but he kept a tight grip on me. Soon, I felt him yanked off of me. I stumbled back a bit and Louis caught me. I couldn't feel my right arm and my upped part of my left arm hurt as well as my right side, where the gun was. I used my left arm to whipe off my mouth. I could taste the alcohol. I heard a CLANK sound and noticed the gun was on the floor. I looked up and saw George being escorted out by two officers.

"Thank you officers," Louis called. Another officer came our way and nodded. He turned to me.

"Did he hurt you ma'am?" he asked me. I hesitated. Louis looked at me with worry. I sighed and kind of nodded at my upper part of my left arm. Louis and the officer looked and sure enough it was already turning purple. "Anywhere else ma'am?" the officer asked. I nodded slowly. I pointed to my right side. There was a zipped on that side so I unzipped it and showed the officer and my twin the new bruise. The officer wrote down some things on his notepad and looked at me. "Anywhere else?" he asked. I shook my head.

"Gosh Lils," Louis whispered as he pulled me into a side hug, making sure he didn't touch the new bruises. The officer told us goodbye and left. I looked at Louis and he looked at me. I wrapped my left arm around him. I didnt want to end this hug. I felt safe in his arms. But sadly he pulled away. He lead me over to a nearby booth. We both sat on the same side. He put his arm around me and I layed my head on his shoulder.

"Louis?" I whispered. He looked at me. "My arm hurts," I told him. He let out a chuckle.

"I know it does," he told me. I saw him smile. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Not my left arm. My right," I told him. He looked at me confused. "He had a really tight grip on me," I continued. He pulled me up and looked at me. I didn't meet his eyes. Louis just gave me another hug. "It's just numb," I told him.

"I'm just glad you're safe," he told me. I smiled and hugged him. "You want to head home?" he asked. I looked at him and nodded. We both got up and left. We started walking down the sidewalk. "Don't worry. It's not a long walk. It's about 2 or 3 blocks down," he told me. I nodded. I cold breeze blew and I shivered. "Cold?"

"A bit," I laughed. Louis took off his jacket and draped it around my shoulders. I just looked at him. "Aren't you cold?" I asked. He laughed and shook his head.

"Nah. I feel fine. But then again, I have jeans and sneakers. You are wearing a dress and sandals," he laughed. I shoved him playfully. He just laughed. I couldn't help but laugh too.

"So how did you know I was there?" I asked him. I saw him smirk. He was pulling something out of his pocket.

"Never leave your phone at home," he chuckled. I looked at the item in his hand and realized that he had my phone. I snatched it from his hand and looked at him. He was laughing.

Ok... But the police?" I asked. He just looked ahead.

"Once I saw that you agreed to meet up with him, I knew something was up. So I walked by a few times to make sure. The one time I walked by, I saw that he had a tight grip around you and you weren't sruggling. I knew something was up then and there. I know you like Niall... Still trying to be ok with that," he mumbled. I just looked at him. "But I am ok with it," he said. I rolled my eyes and smiled at him. "I am just glad you're safe," he told me again.

"I owe it all to you," I smiled at him. He just gave me another smile. I then slipped my arms into his jacket sleeves.

The walk was actually fun. We both talked and laughed the whole time. When we were close to the hotel, he gave me a piggy-back ride. I will cherish these moments forever and always. He is truly the best brother... twin... anyone can have.
