Wanted You More

Bethany is top in her class, head-strong, and basically you're definition of a perfect girl but she has no intention of trying to be like every other girl and try to get Harry, the popular, good looking, soccer star, to like her...in fact, she doesn't really like him. But when Bethany is assigned to help Harry get his grades up and he realizes that Bethany is different than everyone else, will Bethany cave into giving Harry a chance or will she continue to stick to her idea that he is a spoiled, stuck up ass?

Includes sex, drugs, alcohol, self harm references/actions, and cursing.

26. Soccer Practice

After school, I started my walk home, thankful I wasn’t needed at work today since I desperately needed a mental health day. I decided to take the long way home just so I could clear my head.

On the way, I was making my way towards the soccer field. I was hoping to god that Harry wouldn’t see me. However, it was the other way around- I saw him. He was running suicides, with sweat dripping from his curls.

Once the whistle was blown, I heard the coach yell water break. The boys went running for their water and started drinking it…but Harry. Harry reached down and pulled his shirt off, reveling a very toned set of abs, making me have to catch my breath. He reached for his water bottle and started pouring the water over his head. It had to have been the most cliché thing I have ever seen but god damn was it attractive. It almost made me want him. Almost.

The whistle was blown again and I snapped out of my thoughts. Harry kept his shirt off and went running back onto the field with the rest of his teammates. I shook my head, thankful that Harry never saw me standing there, or I know on Friday, he wouldn’t let me hear the end of it; unless I was lucky and he brought it up tomorrow. I quickly started walking away, pretending I didn’t just witness any of this.

I saw her speed walk away out of the corner of my eye. I started smiling to myself as the passing drill continued. I couldn’t help but feel accomplished at making her want me. I knew she did. It wasn’t hard to tell when a girl wanted you, but the difference between her and every other girl…is she didn’t do anything about it. She shook the thought away and walked away…she didn’t even come after me which was defiantly not something I was used to but…hey…one step at a time, right?
